Mike Watkins I am pretty sure he downloaded all of the actual samples for each instrument and put them together. His site has more songs and the samples.

I can't speak for this recording, but I certainly recall that the GoldenEye/Perfect Dark stuff was taken from the original song writers website. His music appears from time to time and is said to be "uncompressed". Not entirely true. They are just the original, final tracks that were produced for managerial review, before the midi code was translated into the game. Think of them as tracks intended to sound as they should in their "purest" form, but before being coded into the limited N64 hardware.
