Eh; this doesn't deliver on the title (misleads) - there are no "controls" for this, just metadata for analysis (was always there). Adobe still refuses to let us flow channel assignment changes at the project level vertically to all relevant sequences. They refuse to listen to their customers until forced by competition.

Thank you. I will change my way of working with sound. The difference is small but essential.🙄

Hi Colin, an audio question. When I use keyframes on an audio track (selected with Right Click near the track header), it works fine, but if I edit the track in a way that changes the length, the keyframes stay where they are, so get out of sync. What am I doing wrong? How else should I make keyframe based, adjustments in a track? Also, is there a way to have the audio equivalent of an adjustment layer?

I have a Lumix R5 which always produces 4 mono tracks (the first two are the left and right channels from the on board mike and the remaining 2 channels are empty unless an additional XLR mike is used. Using the Modify audio channels option I can modify this for each clip down to one stereo clip and assign media source 1 to the left channel and media source 2 to the right channel. This works fine but I cannot do this to multiple clips so have to do it for each clip! . I get the option to select more than one clip but it does not work! Is this a bug or am i not doing it correctly?

Outside of splitting the tracks, also wondering ...why is there no simple "Convert to mono", like there is in Audition? If you want to simply merge the stereo clip to mono in audition, it keeps both Left and Right, but simply merges them into one mono track. THAT is simpler than having 2 separate audio channels, in most of my cases. Not all, but most.
