I lived in LA from 1958 to 2005. I saw lots of storms and mud slides. If you live in the hills, you have to expect this kind of damage. Even if you protect your immediate property, the area above you might not have done the same, and come sliding down on you. It's part of life in the California hills: brush fires, followed by mud slides.

Yes these sorts of properties are susceptible. I hope you're also aware, the weather is manipulated by governmental and private forces. It's called geoengineering. Weather has been controlled as far back as 1949. Governments and private agencies have the ability to turn on heavy rains, hurricanes, tornadoes (and start fires w/other technologies). If you don't believe it, well, sorry. You may come to this conclusion with time, because it's going to continue.

Yes, 2 maximum is fine although 1 should be sufficient. If someone missed something then he can rewind and watch it again. I do that all the time and it's easier than trying to find the end of the several repeat clip. This multiple clip repeat 3-5 times is why I thumbed it down.

True..... but certainly will be much cleaner with the human waste flushed away.....we must always look for something positive during something of this nature....too bad Southern California didn't build to capture or drain away this abundance of water from rain fall aa the amount of perception was record amounts... the event itself is not unusual in damage and locations effected when looking at it from a distance and had they overbuild their drainage capabilities this would not have been a problem for much of the population other then landslides. ..wait.....had the systems in place removed water much quicker... saturation levels may n9t have reached critical mass and prevented ground movement as it did..... hopefully ground movement from tech tectonic plate /earthquake don't happen while the hills contain so much moisture becaus3 there could be alot more mudslides occurring which may cause far more damages and loss of life th3n seen here so far far

It’s not a California thing. It’s the relationship between campaign donations & tax revenues from real estate developers & the people who write laws & ordinances regulating building. Combine that with people who can afford the home insurance for beach front or mountainside properties & you get this pattern. Remember all the homes built on flood plains in Texas that get wiped out by storm surges? Now, insurance is becoming unaffordable in parts of Florida & California, because weather related disasters are becoming more frequent, severe & widespread.

Then they show footage of the foothills which is the least populated county in just California and do not mention how badly Cali does not maintain their public works. I see no sewer system or drainage of any kind. Let's build houses at the bottom of a huge mountain with no routing of floodwaters and think this is a brilliant idea. When strong water tanks collected enough rain water, they are heavy enough to form as barriers to block mudslide and stabilize top soil which, of course, still need proper French drain channel structures to secure the landscape.
