Probably in terms of promoting the game he might be the best of this wave of talented Indian players. He comes across very well in interviews, displaying good humor and charm. All of the Indian players impress in terms of being very down to earth and modest. Anand taught them well.

And also if you see his match against Nepo , he was losing that match too ,in fact he lost it but still fought extremely well , extended that for 1 hour too. He is probably one of the best defenders in chess I would say , so amazing

Congratulations Vidit. Really appreciate your progress in the last 1 year and it must be due to drastic changes made in your gameplay as well as attitude and motivation. There was a time for almost 3 - 4 years that you seemed to be stuck in a rating range of 2700 to 2720 but I believe that the fast-developing Indian teenage juniors have given you a chess check to either develop or perish and you seem to have bravely chosen to develop. Kudos to you👏. I foresee a good candidates tournament for you, which never seemed a reality even 6 months back. You have earned genuine respect and admiration now..

Vidit is not a new entry. He is 29 yrs old but was stuck in the 2700 to 2725 rating range since 4 yrs & not winning tournaments. He has made tremendous progress in last 1 year.

Imo Jorden lost on purpose against Anish. There is no way Anish plays the french against jorden and basically wins the game right out of the opening by trapping a minor piece.
