East Bengal regiment of pak army( now bd army) also played a vital role in this war. I am a Bangladeshi. My grandfather used to work at Karachi in Pakistan radio. He told me about that war. The story of the bravery of east bengal regiment in that war is still written in Chittagong EBR hq.

@@therisetv5325 Not East Pakistan regiment bro, it's official name was "East Bengal Regiment" and till today it holds the same name. East Bengal is the oldest regiment in Bangladesh Army and interesting fact is, it hasn't even changed its old logo, i.e., it has the Moon and Star symbol till now(Whereas the other regiments/corps have their logos with 'water-lily'-the national emblem of Bangladesh. East Bengal Regiment got the highest number of medals(11) for its bravery in the 1965 war. However, it was that very regiment to resist against the offesnsive of 1971, that's another issue.

These are Pakistani Sabres which has a lot of history to my country 🇧🇩. In the 1971 civil war pakistanis used these aircrafts to bomb the people of East Pakistan.But the liberation fighters soon made an airforce (Called Kilo Flight) with some civil aircrafts... They used an ordinary otter aircraft and destroyed the oil tanker of Chittagong and Dhaka... Soon these aircrafts were no use to Pakistan as they had no oil....

Folland Gnat was a subsonic plane which was hardly used by any country as a fighter plane which was vastly inferior to F-86 SABRE of PAF which was equipped with sidewinder missiles, the best of that time. There was nothing extra ordinary in shooting down a subsonic fighter plane but perhaps was shooting down of a Sabre by a GNAT after which they were called as Sabre slayers. Anyways the graphics are cool, Kudos to the animators.

Pakistan Air Force admired the Gnat plane because of its diminutive size and high maneuverability. However, Sabre-slayers seem to be wartime propaganda that perhaps has infiltrated the textbook of India. Fine. This is OK. Every country wants to push its narrative and try to make people proud of the bravery and sacrifices of their heroes. However, if you really want to understand and get a rational view of the 1965 war, read the book written by Jhon Fricker. You will hopefully change your idea of Gnat being Sabre Slayer.
