Military bands don't go to Area anymore. So they actually qualified for UIL State Military Marching Contest

@@rocketfan86 military bands still actually go to area but they go under a different group. Military and core bands are judged differently and have different competitions at area. Military can choose to either compete against core or military bands at area, but a military band that chooses to compete against core bands is gonna have a very difficult time. I believe there is one military band from our are that is choosing to opt into the core competition because they're such a good military band that they would just wipe the floor with the other military bands that it really wouldn't even be a competition at that point.

@@freakyfrogmusic9672 That's true, even if you march military-style, you can still opt to participate in the Open Class rather than the MIlitary Class.
