Vidor's Enrollment have been decreasing since Hurricane Harvey, and all the others since. It's quite sad really.

Yes it is very sad that we don’t have the full band coming from a person that is in the Vidor High School marching Band. If we had everybody and corona didn’t happen, we’d have the full band. I’d say we only have a quarter of everybody this year..

@@Hulkamazing Yeah but you can't control those things. The folks who are there did a very nice job and represented well, and a year from now with the vaccines coming out Corona won't be affecting everything like it did this year. Many bands across the state weren't even able to make it to UIL this year, but you guys showed up and did a great job.

@@Hulkamazing No this was the UIL regional competition, and Vidor earned a 1 so they can advance to Area, then they can advance to the State Military contest. This was the main UIL Contest for most bands. And it looks like Vidor had most of their members there -- this is about 120 marching which is maybe 20 less than they've had the last few years. At it's largest in the 80s and 90s this band only had about 170 so it's not too terribly much smaller than it's been in the past.

Vidor high is a very cliquish school. If you are not trailer trash you will be an outcast. At least that’s how it was in the 90s
