Shubhada Paradkar, born on September 21, 1957, in Baroda, is a distinguished Hindustani classical vocalist. She trained under Pt. R.D. Potdar (Kirana Gharana), Pt. Madhusudan Joshi (Agra Gharana), Pt. Gajananbuva Joshi (Gwalior and Jaipur Gharanas), Babanrao Haldankar (Agra Gharana), and Pta. Padmavati Shaligram Gokhale (Jaipur Gharana). Her performances are noted for their lively rhythm interactions and proficiency in semi-classical forms like thumri, bhajan, and tappa.
Marathwada, a region steeped in rich cultural heritage, is celebrated as the land of legendary saints, poets, philosophers, and a cradle of Indian culture and classical music. Among its luminaries, Gayanacharya Govindrao Jalgaonkar stands out as a towering figure who dedicated his life to the promotion and preservation of classical music.
The Datta Jayanti Sangeet Mahotsav, initiated by his visionary father, Shri Bappasaheb Jalgaonkar, and later carried forward with passion by Govindrao Bhau, has now achieved a historic milestone by completing 100 years. This remarkable music festival holds the distinction of being the only one in Maharashtra to reach a century-long legacy.

शुभदा पराडकर या 21 सप्टेंबर 1957 रोजी बडोद्यात जन्मलेल्या एक प्रसिद्ध हिंदुस्तानी शास्त्रीय गायिका आहेत.
त्या पं. आर.डी. पोटदार (किराणा घराणे), पं. मधुसूदन जोशी (आग्रा घराणे), पं. गजाननबुवा जोशी (ग्वाल्हेर आणि जयपूर घराणे), बाबनराव हलदंकर (आग्रा घराणे) आणि पं. पद्मावती शालिग्राम गोखले (जयपूर घराणे) यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली प्रशिक्षित झाल्या.
त्यांचे सादरीकरण त्यांच्या लयदार तालसंगतीसाठी आणि ठुमरी, भजन, टप्पा यासारख्या उपशास्त्रीय शैलीतील पारंगततेसाठी ओळखले जाते.
मराठवाडा हा संत, कवी, तत्त्ववेत्ते यांची भूमी म्हणून ओळखला जातो, तसेच भारतीय संस्कृती आणि शास्त्रीय संगीताचा वारसा जपणारा एक समृद्ध प्रदेश आहे. या क्षेत्रातील महान व्यक्तिमत्त्वांमध्ये गायनाचार्य गोविंदराव जळगावकर यांचे नाव अग्रस्थानी आहे, ज्यांनी आपले संपूर्ण आयुष्य शास्त्रीय संगीताच्या प्रचार आणि प्रसारासाठी समर्पित केले.
दत्तजयंती संगीत महोत्सवाची स्थापना त्यांच्या दूरदृष्टी असलेल्या वडिलांनी, श्री बाप्पासाहेब जळगावकर यांनी केली, आणि त्यानंतर गोविंदराव भाऊ यांनी याला पुढे नेले. या महोत्सवाने आता ऐतिहासिक शिखर गाठत शंभर वर्षांची परंपरा पूर्ण केली आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील हा असा एकमेव संगीत महोत्सव आहे ज्याने शतकीय परंपरा गाठली आहे.
दत्तजयंती संगीत महोत्सवाचा शताब्दी महोत्सव १३, १४ आणि १५ डिसेंबर २०२४ रोजी अंबड येथे संपन्न झाला, जो भारतीय सांस्कृतिक आणि संगीताच्या इतिहासातील एक अभिमानास्पद क्षण आहे.
