I've one doubt. What made vetrimaran to make this movie for this long. If the story or screenplay is bad no problem but the Dubbing, editing, music, CGI looked like the movie is made is heavy rush with no time. But the reality is vetrimaran had all his time in the world, more than any other director can imagine in their dreams.

Hi there Kaki I am from Malaysia to be honest you are my favourite movie reviewer normally I see your reviews before watching the movie but after a long time when to watch Viduthalai 2 due to the impact given by the first part. So went to watch with many expectation and as you said I to have same opinion as you. But for me I felt first half was too good no any lag. As you said second half flashback the character that died came again I too was confused. Towards climax there was many VJS talks it really irritates me. Because of that draggy scenes the climax of VJS scene didnt give any impact. As you said the Soori decision in the climax too made me to feel I am watching Vetrimaran sir movie. As you said I really wished Soori would have given more screen presence since I really thought Soori is the hero of the film but in Part 2 VJS was given more importance than him.

Both the viduthalai movies reminded me a lot of Apocalpyse now and platoon. Part 2 was way too preachy. If they could have edited the final shootout sequence and the love portions, would have been way more entertaining.
