It took me a very long time to learn that God valued me. My self worth was buried in the effects of childhood abuse and neglect. And even though I am smart and talented and knew I was meant to do great things in life, I was still stuck in the hurt of the past. I got tired of feeling angry and hurting over the rejections I experienced in life and began to pray and the more I prayed the more the pain poured out and I yelled, "I feel like i have no value" and God said, "That's It! That's what's wrong!" He began to tell me to know that he valued me, I had value and it didn't matter who else didn't. So today I walk in the freedom of his love for me and when the "haters" throw stones my way...the Holy Spirit taps me on the shoulder and reminds me...I value you, don't worry about that, they don't define who you are, I do!
