However, I would like to know if the philosophy of Vaisesika deals with the purpose of all the categories - what is the purpose of existence of all the substances, qualities and atoms etc.? What is the purpose of this world where the soul is undergoing experiences and actions guided by karma and again creating bondage in an eternal loop?

'absence of an object and knowledge of its absence are different' .....not clear pls need more explanation.

rakesh das absence of object is the state of nothing which implies that nothing is something (acc to vaisesika)..but knowledge of its absence provides you information about things existing in reality. if you know the reasons for a things absence then you can certainly know what conditions can create them or eliminate them(hope my answer helped)
