I’ve been in love with this historical figure since I was young, I have seen almost every one of the castles she lived in, I have a necklace with the famous “Alpine flowers” and I am in LOVE with violet candies, her favourites. Don’t know what it is, but I’ve always felt drawn to her.

What a beautiful place and palace. well presented. as for the star crown you wore. A quote from Kevin Costner in the movie Robin Hood. "A women of your beauty has no need for such decorations" more castles and palace tours ,maybe a Citadel. Well Done. I like your Charisma.

I was in Vienna this summer, went to the sissi museum but was disappointed to find out that most of the objects on display were replicas. Other than that I had a pretty good time

A very interesting presentation, Hannah! I wasn't aware of the Sissi Museum of the Hofburg, I'll visit it during my next trip to Vienna.

Very interesting, thank you!! One of my bright memories from youth is a series about a woman who tried to look like Sissi (from Il commissario Rex) :))

I don't agree with your commenter that what Empress Sisi what she wanted was glamour, drama, royalty, etc. What she wanted was FREEDOM!

This young woman seems the ideal presenter of a program about Sissi - since she seems to exude something of the feel of that poor soul's psychological problems.

@@DWTravel Still, wearing the tiara if only for the video shoot is pretty memorable, and you can always state later “I was a Princess…”, and get a laugh! Keep making these fun videos!

For me, Sisi is too extravagant, perhaps like a bit Maria Antoinette..most people lived in poverty, and the monarch never didnt care.. But l love so much that beautifull palace, inside it n the both modern + ancient buildings in Austria that shown in this video.. Definitely the European buildings
@adriannespring85985 ай бұрын
Except Marie Antoinette did indeed care. She gave a lot of $$ to the poor, but it wasn't public knowledge. She educated her children to serve the public. Elizabeth focused on different parts of the public.

Im a big fan of empress Elizabeth and just watched the movie corsage, honestly I didn't get it. The movie made her look unstable. Most of the movie was true but how much was it?

Why are people still treating emperalism like it was a fairytale about kings and queens??? Do you learn history at schools at all? Or just watching glamourised to the max movies about those "great"monarchs?? I hope you do understand what was a price for this riches
@patavinity12627 ай бұрын
People are interested in the lives of kings and queens, and that's fine. One's opinion on the nature of the Austro-Hungarian Empire has nothing to do with being interested in the life of one of its empresses. You, on the other hand, just want to feel superior to others. That's the entire motivation behind your comment and it's quite pathetic.

Surrounded by magnificent riches, travelling the world, neglecting her children and her emperial duties.. and somehow she is supposed to be the victim or tragic heroine of this pathetic tale? An ungrateful, spoiled brat is what she was. If anything, the mother-in-law was the true hero.
