In 2010, I flew Vietnam Airline business class for the first time from Guangzhou, China back to Vietnam. I was very impress with this airline. The seat are comfortable, they have great foods, and the stewards are very good looking, but the best airline I ever been on was Singapore Airline.

I would definitely recommend them. They have huge leg space in business, good food and excellent service. They are also very punctual. But don't expect too much from the entertainment system and if you are flying via Hanoi mind you that the airport is old. Here's the tip - you can get business fare much cheaper if you upgrade an economy ticket at Optiontown.

Such an excellent video. A lot has changed since 2012. Now not only Vietnam Airlines flies from Heathrow, but also Ukraine is a no-fly zone now due to the ongoing military conflict. Those seats look as if they should be in an aviation museum - so old fashioned. No amount of smiling by the stewardess can make up for a product that is clearly 15 to 20 years out of date.

The eldest 777 which they had at the time was 9 years old. If you want to see aircrafts over 15 tears old, try flying any airline from the post soviet countries.

+Elliot Chen It is 12 hours flight. The aircraft was 777 but now they fly 787. You can upgrade to business at reasonable price, google optiontown website.

Oleksiy Yes, but if you read all reviews over a long period, and make other checks, you can form an opinion. For example, their website is difficult to navigate and doesn't always work either..

+John Smith I flew London to Saigon with VN and they were one of the best I have flown. After sales things such as FF miles etc. were crap but overall the flight itself was 9/10 and I travelled economy deluxe
