It’s weird huh everything in Hanoi is little bit more expensive than in Saigon.

Missed your vlogs! Very interesting shopping and great negotiation skills! Both of you were very polite and firm with the sellers and walking away a few times sets a rough range of reasonable prices which in my opinion is a good way of getting a win-win price! Looking forward to your next adventure. ❤

The vendor is hilarious. Super chill dude. Flagged me down walking to the roti shop and says he got my size jokingly. Keep in mind I’m a 2xL US. We both had a laugh

Hi Guys, Thanks for the interesting video. Im there in February 25 I'm not the type to haggle. I see you started at half what they wanted. is this normal with all the shops? I hope the boots are okay for you during the hiking part of your trip. Thanks for your time and sharing your experience with us.. John

Hi John, so sorry we missed your comment until now. We had read online to start bargaining at half price, work your way up, and don't go over 75% of their first offer. Those guidelines seemed to work pretty well for us! The boots luckily lasted for our most intense hiking on the trip but not much long after, but you can still definitely find some decent quality items at low prices. We have a few shirts we bought in Hanoi in 2018 that we still wear today! Hope you enjoy your trip in Vietnam and have a great time exploring. Thank you for watching 😊

Seems like you did well.. I guess as long as it lasts a reasonable amount of time. I paid 4 bucks for a good quality shirt in Saigon which in retrospect might be too cheap but you don't know the quality until extended use, right. Like if the ink cracks and peels off after 1 wash. If I go back to Vietnam I would definitely buy more clothes but its definitely a place every foreigner needs to constantly watch their money/belongings

Yes, as of right now, our hiking shoes are still in good condition but we’ll see if they last! 😆 thanks for watching ❤️

Some even expensive shoes, the shoes sole often goes off the heel counter if water comes in and damage the glue. In my case we often go to shoes repair shop to have sewing arround sole and upper + glue then they will last very long. It costs only 4 bucks.

I don't think these ones are legit 😂😂They could be of high quality though, the markup just for the brand can be insane at times.

Decent purchases if the clothes and shoes are good enough quality. That guy on the street sounded like he was speaking French. Unfortunately there's impolite people everywhere in the world. When you travel, expect to come across these types occaisionally. We just smile, back up (not turn our backs) and walk around them...even if it means crossing the street. Don't confront them and don't let them bother you.

Vietnam is definitely cheaper. I heard 1usd can get 3 cans of beers

Yeah, that sounds about right for some of the beer prices in Vietnam. It was very affordable to travel there

I wouldn't buy hiking shoes from Asia they will most likely fall apart and they don't have the effort put into the design of a shoe that needs to be worn for long periods.
