Troy, from the last video, it seems there was some tension between you, Gran and the non-biological mom. I don't think they view you favourably and it's better to keep cordial relations so you can continue to see Duong Hoa. Also, idk my heart hurt to see Duong Hoa being hyperactive around you. I think she was so starved for love and attention, she was acting out abit. Don't take it to heart, she's just overjoyed you're being so generous and concerned towards her. She's not used to it imo. Can you just adopt her? Side note, Duong Hoa butchers my name more than Westerners 😭

Troy, once you studied world history/politic, you come to realization it’s a whole can of worm. I’m an old dog now and I see the world politic is something best not to get into. Live a simple life and do what you can cus once you go down that politic/religion, the rabbit hole is a deep one that only jade you even more. I agree with Janny - the child’s behavior is a bit energetic because she is so thrilled to be noticed and appreciated. Troy, you are such a kind man. Any child in this situation is likely to identify you as the male figure in her life. The funny thing is you NEVER know what small kindness offered today will resonate with a child for years to come. Don’t we all have a special,person or teacher that affected us in a positive way? You, sir, are that person for many of the children you encounter. Good on you!

Funny you should mention small acts of kindness resonating for years to come. When I was about 7 or 8 I was in a toy store playing with a wooden airplane. My mom was a single mom and we didn't have a lot of money, so there is no way I was getting that plane. As we were leaving the man at the counter gave me the plane. That was in 1973/74 I will keep that plane till the day I die. It meant that much to me !!

Pretty standard here in the U.K. for a decent child’s bike. Note I said decent. Plenty of badly made cheap material bikes but a good bike I’d expect to pay £100 in U.K. money.

proxy wars/ economic battles/ and the past history aside. it's kinda silly that troy doesn't grasp why there's beef between china and vietnam as well as china vs the rest of SE asia in the current time. there's the territory dispute of islands and sea rights. china also creating factories and creating "chinese authority zones" where they have their own police and stuff. you can't be friends when they're trying to take over your country. it's one thing to call out the west/USA for their hypocrisy but it's so crazy troy wants to promote china when china is being an aggressor.

1. Real papa is Buddha knows who at the moment. 2. The “mother” who pinched the girl in the store is the older sister of DH’s mother, hence DH’s aunt. The aunt has two kids of herself, one girl and one boy. 3. The woman in the yellow shirt in this video is DH actual mom.
