Easy...he's mentally challenged. I don't think this is about intentional disrespect, I think it is simply another example that he is severely degraded from a cognitive standpoint. But to his handlers, it simply doesn't matter. There is no limit to the lying, cheating and stealing they will perpetuate to keep THEIR power intact. Expect them to unceremoniously kick Traitor Joe to the curb when he has served his purpose for them. I think he's criminal (bribes and influence pedaling), but even so, how they are manipulating and using him has to be the greatest case of "elder abuse" in history. Pathetic.

For a man like Joe Biden whos son was in the military and was awarded the bronze star to walk away from an absolute legend of a man on the podium looking bewildered was a strange moment for me. Felt sorry for Larry. One thing about American the soldier get great military medals for all kinds of things. My dad was a Irish UN peacekeeper in the Congo in 1961. He saw combat in his tour. He told me one day they were delivering UN supplies to the swedes by train and were ambushed at the train station. Came under fire from Congolese army, Tshombes army and Balooba kats, on one side of the train they were being attacked by machine gun and mortars and the other side bows and arrows. They were only about 15 Irish guys firing back with Lee Enfields, FN-FAL, Gustavs and Bren. My dad had a Bren and was running between the train and the station keeping them back. He said mortars didn't explode because they were fired too high and timed out but were sandbagged. He said by the time they had reinforcements they had left 90 to 100 behind them, no casualties amongst themselves, they were well trained soldiers. He came home to Ireland and some prick had taken his job, he was suffering with night terrors at the time and was going to kill your man but went to England for work and clear his head. Never got any recognition from the state for anything. He's 84 now.

True...but irrelevant. Who's supposed to "take notice"? The awardee was in uniform, where political expressions are a UCMJ violation. So his silence didn't prove anything other than he knows how to comport himself while in uniform-- it wasn't a moral victory or endorsement of "Traitor Joe". It seems like you are trying to encourage people to not call out illegal LEFTIST behavior. Attempting to encourage citizens to ignore felonies in order to somehow limit damage to LEFTISTs is like trying to shove toothpaste back in the tube-- it doesn't work....and you'll get to witness it gather steam in the months ahead.

Many thanks to Captain Taylor for his great service to our nation. In addition to The President walking off before the ceremony was complete, I noticed two things that should never happen at one of these ceremonies First, if someone is chosen to read an official citation of The Medal of Honor they will always be asked to say correctly the word intrepidity. This woman mispronounced it all three times and that is unacceptable at that level of such an important event. She actually pronounced it differently all three times and all were wrong. I grant that it is a difficult word to pronounce and one we hardly ever use in everyday speech. Yet, those choosing the people who are going to read the citation at the official presentation ceremony at The White House should be aware of this and should make sure the person chosen to read it, is briefed and will pronounce it correctly. Messing it up sounds so uneducated and falls short of the honor being bestowed on the recipient. Also, the President was out of sync with the official citation as he said when, at the time, Lt. Taylor went on fake gun runs with his spotlight to fool the enemy he was out of ammo. According to the citation he was low, but still had some left and used it in the rescue.

Thanks for your comment. It sounds like you are a very nice person who is willing to overlook what you consider small mistakes in people and that is a good quality in many situations. However, in the military and many other places as well, details still matter in ways that ultimately keep people alive. The Army strives to be the very best they can be and one of their own botching the reading of a Medal of Honor citation at The White House is embarassing and isn't acceptable. It in fact, brings down the honor and importance of the ceremony itself. If you feel that doing that is just fine and that the soldier should get a trophey for showing up that shows how you are wired and that's O. K. if you are 5 years old and playing Tee Ball. However, when you are honoring a man like Captain Taylor, everything should be as perfect as possible and what happened with the reading of his citiation was far short of what it should be. I and my friend Robert Maxwell, Medal of Honor recipient from World War II sat down a few years ago to get his story on video. You might be interested in seeing it. Here is the link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZzMmaNji6-BatE I really do appreciate your willingness to see the best in people. However, correcting someone to make them better is something that is also very important for their future growth and in fact is a positive versus a negative thing.

It's truly disheartening to see how some individuals are willing to turn even the most honorable and non-partisan events into political battlegrounds. The Medal of Honor is a symbol of immense courage, sacrifice, and heroism, awarded to individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to protect and serve our nation. It should be a moment of unity and recognition for these remarkable individuals, rather than an opportunity for divisive rhetoric. Regardless of one's political beliefs or affiliations, honoring the recipients of the Medal of Honor should be a moment when we come together as a nation to pay our respects and express our gratitude. It's essential to remember that this recognition is not about the president; it's about the incredible feats of valor displayed by these brave men and women. Let us strive to preserve the sanctity of such ceremonies, keeping them free from the polarization that has unfortunately seeped into many aspects of our public life. We owe it to the recipients and their families to show the utmost respect and appreciation for their extraordinary acts of heroism.

I was just reading an article in the Hindustan Times on this. this was the last paragraph: The full video of the ceremony shows that Biden stayed for about 28 minutes and gave remarks honoring Taylor and his family. He also presented Taylor with the medal and hugged him. He then thanked everyone for attending and said, "God bless you all, and may God protect our troops." After that, the president walked off the stage with Taylor and his wife, followed by Vice President Kamala Harris and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. They did not leave the room, but moved to a nearby area where they greeted and took photos with Taylor’s family and other guests. They also include a video of a ceremony the president attended for three other recipients showing him standing through the prayer.

Some people are confused about how this award ceremony is done. If you will notice in the audience there are many of the living Medal of Honor recipients as well as many senior ranking military personnel as is customary. The president awarded the medal and read the narrative for the medal and then stepped away. This is done because the center of attention and the focus of this ceremony is the recipient and the president did not want to overshadow by hanging around after his role in the ceremony was performed.

Talking sense to Trumplicans is pointless. Biden is the president, he may have been called to handle a situation or he could have been late in doing so. He has stayed for prayer in the past, calling this out and questioning his beliefs is also low. Trump did the same things yet I bet that none of you criticized him for those moments (or at all for that matter). Let’s also not forget that Trump called US soldiers who died in war “losers” and “suckers”… so stop your hypocrisy.

He was advised to limit his contact with people since his wife was just diagnosed with COVID, they planned for him to leave at that time. They did not want him interacting with the crowd during the reception.

I have yet to see any video or audio of Trump saying that. If one exists please let me know. I have seen the current “President” walk off disrespectfully during a ceremony honoring an American hero. Checking his watch during a ceremony honoring 13 marines that died because of his disastrous withdrawal from Kabul, wake up!
