Plaster helped Mitchel a lot "emotionally" because when Mitchel's team stopped to talk on the radio, etc. the Montagnards moved because they thought the team was going to die, Mitchel at first said "I can't call for air support, the indigenous are still out there" and Plaster said "the indigenous made their decision, now get you out of this" and luckily he did also at the time when David Mixter died from an enemy RPG, Mitchel went into denial and didn't want to move because his great friend was there on the ground dead, he said "Lurch is there, I can see him, I can't leave him here", Plaster said over the radio "Mitchel, Lurch is dead, there's no going back, we shouldn't worry about the dead now, we should worry about the living" and again luckily he responded affirmatively to Plaster, but it seems that this didn't appear in this recording for some reason. You can see this this was said by Plaster himself in SOG CAST that it was made by Tilt
@ToxiicThePharmacist Жыл бұрын
Mitchel was very brave at that time, he had to see his indigenous troops abandon him in the heat of the moment, he had to see one of his best friends dead on the ground with his chest covered in blood in a fraction of 10 minutes without collapsing in NVA fire

Such an odd concept to long to be a part of such an evil, horrible experience. But, I also envy the sense of purpose, brotherhood, and sense of achievement these men will take to their grave. A college degree, and subsequent mediocre career damn-sure isn’t going to give you that (at least not on that level). My #1 regret in life was not joining the military, and going for an elite group. And, today our military has turned into a dumpster-fire I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to serve in.

100% true, in the case of wars that never had to be fought. But, dictators don’t give a flying f**k about “diplomacy”. Hitler was a hell of a diplomat as long as you were doing what he wanted you to do, which usually involved dying. Take a look at the corrupt, pigs running our country today. They could care less about diplomacy. Their way is not only the right, way, but the only way. Peace only works when you’re dealing with rational people. Just sayin’…
