I think you tried to spook them too fast. It would have been better if you let the environment of nothing happening tense them up before you spook them. Like around 5-10 minutes at least after they leave spawn?

Also, remove the mines after they pass them because they lag the server a LOT. Edit: just got to see the T-72 made in the 70s in Vietnam during the 1960s...
