I am Vietnamese and according to many studies, my country has 10 different types of lutes, but on the market the most popular are the H'mong type, and I have not seen any other ethnic groups selling them. That is, those made of bamboo or other materials. I want to buy online.

Tong Thao well, Vietnamese don't play the jew harp. it is not their traditional instrument. they took it from us Hmong people... even our flutes.

@@Fatelvis2 It's all in the way you play it , your breathing has a lot to do with it and the way you hold it in your mouth , if you tighten your lips then chomp down on the Dan Moi you will get much clearer and louder volume .

Hey thanks. I once heard that Roland sampled these? Would make sense lol
@TheKekelol5 жыл бұрын
@@mowaxbro the 303 is just a straight synthesizer no samples. Though the Dan Moi would definitely make a good tone for a sampler instrument!

How are you making those extra beats and so forth? It looks like your throat is pulsating. Would have appreciated a bit more explanation.
@iam1smiley13 жыл бұрын
You move tongue, different breathing patterns, open throat and sound is deep and if you make your mouth smaller the pitch gets higher. It's easy to learn.

Not to be pedantic but this woman is from the Red Dao tribe. The Hmongs and Dais live together in nearby villages but the Hmong dress is quite different. The Red Dao are known by the red headdress.

@@BubbleOfJelly of course the Jew harp is used in other cultures like some Turk, Lolo, Mongolian... But how the Jew Harp is place, it's definitely Hmong. Hmong people keep our Jew Harp in tube like in the video. You see, the Vietnamese Jew Harps belong to the Hmong, just like some Vietnamese like to use play our Raj Nplaim or sideway flute.
