Ah, my stomping grounds. I go to Little Saigon at least once a month for the grub! I've been to all of those places and can endorse the selections. Little known fact: Hu Tieu--the first items at the first restaurant--is a borrowing from Cambodia. In olden days, the Khmer empire stretched far and receded to Cambodia. So that dish is from the deepest Southern region of Vietnam, where you find the overlap of both cultures at the mouth of the mighty Mekong river.

Love the spring rolls in rice paper with shrimp 🍤 a side of peanut sauce, Love the rice noodle bowl with the fresh veg. grilled meat and fried spring rolls the clear sauce sweet and spicey is so good on it!!!

Phnom Penh noodles originated in Cambodia, they named it after the capital. I highly recommend this dish. Best place to get Cambodian noodles is Phnom Penh Noodle Shack in Long Beach.

I used to live in CA and I know OC very well. I visited Houston Texas and they actually gave better Vietnamese food than OC. If you ever visit Houston, you got to go to Kim Son Vietnamese buffet. So delicious and you get to try everything.

I miss living in westminster. I was always intimidated going into the restaurants where I don't know how to pronounce their names. I didn't know what to order. I went to brodards a lot and their spring rolls are very good.the crunchy part in that spring roll is the fried egg roll wrapper.

We love Brodard 🙂 We usually go to the takeout counter for pastries or other selections because sometimes the table service can be slow or not so great.

Wow, I've been to 2 out of 3 restaurants. Quan Mii and Brodard are great! The Vox Kitchen is also pretty good (same complex as Brodard).

Aww...should have ordered the grilled shrimp spring rolls at Brodard...it is their top seller. I've tried the pork & shrimp rolls there before about 15 years ago but they were a disappointment and had never ordered them again...😆 ...give the grilled shrimp rolls a try the next time you're there. We get it quite often.

Every Memorial week I visit my family in Redondo Beach. We always drive to OC to get our Vietnamese food. My to go place is Phoholic first and other delicious places next. Seriously, I would eat all day long. I live in AZ they don’t have good Vietnamese food.

WOW!! Great time to post this video as a Vietnamese restaurant just opened up down the street from us and me and my husband wanted to try it out and now thanks to this video we know what to order! Lisa you look very pretty with the flowers in your hair. I bought flowers like that once made out of plastic but I can’t wear them because they are so heavy on my head. Hi Francesca! Flowers are made of foam, very light. That’s great on the new Vietnamese restaurant opening! Hope they have the noodle dish as well as the crepe/pancake… delicious!
