South ruimveldt was developed late 68_70 use to be government cane fields I lived in west ruimveldt just across the dam i remember as a kid when they were taking down the cane fields Brings back memories of my youth

the canadians built this scheme not burnham - burnham took it over years after and the place run down after that. we moved into the Park in 1970 but Gardens was already built so I estimate the scheme started around 1976/77
