As I play this game more and more I’m realizing how horrible it is to play online. Online is awesome in terms of playing different people and characters for hours. But lag and wifi really handicap the true essence of Tekken. Those split second inputs and movement are critical during serious matches. Despite those challenges and potential sus things, GM beats this trash talker.

Come on GM, you like to say the truth and that's one of the reasons I like watching you, but that also means I need to tell you the truth. The lag here doesn't seem to be enough to make it this close. The real problem seemed to be your mental state. His toxicity and comments got to you enough that you started making mistakes. You were constantly making bad calls that had nothing to do with lag, falling for kankan flowcharts, falling for throw setups, so on. You were even complaining about his character like people do when they are losing, about PC players, implied he was cheating, and you only complained about lag when it seemed like you could actually lose this. There was lag at play and it probably affected your neutral, but it didn't seem enough to make you struggle with piloting Lee. Most of the lag appeared to be during stage transitions(i.e. when his PC was loading the next section of the stage), and the most it'd do is cause you to drop the combo. So in short, he annoyed you enough that you were making mistakes. By the end there you were missing punishes and whiff punishes that under normal circumstances you'd never miss, so you were clearly under some pressure. What I take away from this is that even a pro-level player can still get distracted and annoyed by typical Tekken stuff like toxicity and lag and make mistakes he wouldn't do with a clearer mind.

How would u know if u wasn't the one playing? This guy was running tekken on a potatoe pc and it was borderline unplayable. U can easily see this by watching the video that his pc was trash and he was lag switching. At the end I still one. So dunno why u tryna talk like u speaking real talk or some kind of tekken teacher. Lee does not work well with lag. U even contradicting yourself saying that there was lag at play and effecting my neutral. U do know lee is all neutral and just frames right? I was even dropping stuff like d3 pick up and acid rain alot cause of how bad it was. I never mess up that stuff I can't play perfect with terrible connections. U expect me to have godlike reactions and punish cancan on a horrible connection with lee? Get serious. Of course it was gonna make me struggle piloting lee. We all know what laggy matches look like, and this just doesn't look as laggy as you want to make it sound. What I saw was that Jun side walking, side stepping, punishing and making good reads repeatedly, giving you a much harder match than anyone expected. If someone were doing this to me, I'd just say "well played", ki charge or not. You are much stronger and more experienced than this player, yet you are acting like beating him was an achievement. At the same time you don't want to give him credit for doing that to you. That is what a contradiction looks like, GM.

Never seen someone so CLUTCH other than you and other pro players.) Anyway, the tournament was online and went through this service that demands pc players install software to prevent cheating and ensure fair-play. I thought that was pretty cool. Too bad it can’t be the standard for everyone using PC.

Anyway, I was saying that I agree 💯 percent and that I was in a tournament (online) right before Christmas, one that DivineExorcist4 was in (who went on to win the whole thing with some super clutch moments … never seen someone so CLUTCH before except you and other pro players) and we had to register with this company that has software for PC players, who have to download and install it on their PCs to prevent cheating. It forces fair play. I wish that could be the standard for all PC players online. Regardless, it’s cool that in an online tournament setting there are safeguards like that. I wonder if Tampa Never Sleeps using it?

Man i agree. Literally last night i played a devil jin pc player with electric macros, literally every single electric he did was perfect and that was mad sus. @@Mahad2341 Yeah, takes a lot of the load off the hard drive. Computer boots up quick, online runs fine. Computers are the way to go if it's put together well, but I lucked out having a friend that knew his stuff.
