You're keeping me sane while I'm wearing a Blood pressure monitor for 24 hours every half an hour it squeezes the crap out of my left arm . Friday's show was epic and thank God old Rick Tomato is doing well after his operation, have a great week . PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.

10:07 - Here, here! Visually top notch, sonically remarkable - literally in this instance! Was listening to various guitar-based YT videos using IEM's whilst on holiday. Concluded after a day that TPS reruns had to happen AFTER others, as the step down in quality of audio was too pronounced to cope with the other way round. Whatever you've done up to this point is magnificent.

The voltage control reminds me of how Joe Bonamassa uses the kikusui power supply for his amps. He’s talked about the same issue with his rig going from place to place or country to country where the blooming of the amps is just entirely different if the power is all over the place.

The idea of "overthinking" cannot be assessed by another, outside of the current experiences. Awareness of the priorities personally assigned to information over experiences is critical. Ask yourself the question "How can, and should I react to this situation? A personal understanding of what is "best" expands with maturity. My impatience to mature lead me beyond the correlation of current personal information decades ago. Human kind simply cannot become sufficiently aware due to limited intelligence and understanding which accompanies.

in the past 4 weeks I've bought A Mythos fates, and a Mythos positron... then a 2017 gibson SG, and a 2023 LP standard "greenie" (kirk hammet). the SG on craigslist, the LP at the gibson garage... I also loved the falcon 20... so I bought that... so now I need a captor x.... I'm gasing too much lately. thinking of selling a few things I'm not playing

Fuc digital DI with acustics, I run mine to my Blackstar Venue HT Club 40 mkII on green voicing through a cheap compressor and a Bluesbreaker (pedal} clone. Sometimes chorus, often reverb, but works great and no feckin' DI faffle required. Even gets monitored on-stage by 40 wats of tube love.

Ah, Mick, I missed again due to playing taxi to and from the airport. I'm going to try to write in next week in a way I know will make Dan slightly uncomfortable but I'll only speak the stark truth. TheGigRig stuff is the very best. If anyone wants to remove all anxiety, down time, malfunctions, basically anything negative, the power system from TheGigRig will get everything sorted reliably. That's just the way it is. I'd give up any three of my best pedals, and more, before I'd give up Dan's power supply. And for me, the Quartermaster 10 has also been a perfect switcher. Silent and reliable. Now I'm off to look at a blue over-shirt... Cheers, Mick.

To make statements like "3 piece bodies are the best" is foolish. Every guitar body, no matter how many pieces it's made of, has to be evaluated as part of the entire string support system. Plus, one man's meat... etc.
@ThatPedalShow5 ай бұрын
There is a big difference between saying “three piece bodies are the best” and saying “in my extensive experience, all the best Strats I’ve played - or at least the ones I’ve liked the most - have had three piece bodies.” Pretty sure that’s where Kloppmann is coming from - the latter. We’re all too quick to make these false dichotomies and be didactic about statements. I didn’t mean to lay out as a truth - just an opinion based on experience. And as you suggest, it’s all ultimately part of a whole.
@vw96595 ай бұрын
Andreas Kloppmann is a pickup maker, not a physicist. His notion that you mentioned, that 3-piece strats have different "harmonics" - because the bridge and pickups are on "the middle piece" - is a scientific assertion. It is standard practice when making such assertions to cite the evidence on which it is based. For example, evidence from someone who has measured enough 3-piece strats versus non-3-piece strats to detect any such differences (in amongst all the other things that cause similar guitars to sound different). If Kloppmann did not do that, and given his apparent lack of relevant qualifications, one should take such assertions with a huge grain of salt. Chances are he's just heard some 3-piece strats that sounded good, and he misconstrued that the body construction had something to do with that. Or some great player told him that, and he believed it. Or he just believes the common physics nonsense that the German guitar press has somewhat of a reputation for. Given what we know from actual measurements such as the very low bridge admittance in strats, I would speculate that the chances of his assertion being true are most likely zero.
