I can relate to your answer regarding weird things you’ve seen as in removal. Working EMS, frequently surprising what you may find in a patients home, and you see them at possibly their worst. In your case, there are possibly family members who have never experienced someone dying in their midst, so I can imagine a lot of patience and compassion are called for.

OMG !! You described me to the T !! I'm the one that presents myself like I've got it all together; when in reality, I could be in such a deep state of depression !! I have masked that for years, and I have had to explain to my therapist about this so they really have to dig and get to know me to be able to treat the depression !l I have almost taken pride in masking this !! I also live in a mess , not bad, but not as neat as I present ! partially because I have two cats, and they have the run of my apartment; but they are Not allowed in my bedroom, ever! ! Therefore, I have my sofa , love seat, and living room furniture in the bedroom !! People are amazed that I let them run my life !LMOAO !! It's a choice !! But one of my biggest fears is that I die alone and am not found till the smell alerts someone !! I have been the person that has found someone in that condition, and it's definitely Not the way I want anyone to remember me !! It's a smell You never forget, and can identify it as soon as You smell it !! Horrible !! Thank You for letting me go on and on !! Luv Ya !!

My aunt and her husband transported my granny from her in Washington to Colorado in their truck. They had a canopy of course. Granny was embraced and in locked casket. They had to get a permit as well. So we had a service here and then another one with family in Colorado then she was buried with next to papa where she wanted to be. So much cheaper then flying her body there

When my father in law had a stroke while on a vacation it was known that he wasn't going to survive. One of the family members wanted to bring him home to die by placing him in the back of a van with another family member or 2 riding along. They were told that if he would die in route it would be illegal to transport a dead body. I'm so glad this family member was not allowed to do so. He passed away, was embalmed and flown from Montana to Minnesota before his family that were with him made it home.

I was jumping up and down on the shallow part. The last time l jumped up and came down, l kept going down, down, down. Just when l was going to take water in my lungs, God put me in the most beautiful warm white cloud, l had the feeling of floating. It was the most beautiful feeling l have ever felt. When I was younger, my mother , who is now in her 80’s told me that when she was young it was quite common for children under the age of 5 to be held up over the deceased in the coffin. The deceased was told this is so&so, your niece/nephew, grandchild, or what ever the relationship was, and that this was a last look for the person , so that when they were in heaven they could fulfill the role of guardian angel with a fresh memory / visual for the deceased to “take” with them. The angel story made me recall that conversation with mom.

Kari, I love everything I've seen you do or say here. I have a great deal of respect for you also. But one thing? The next time the topic comes up about a child born outside of a known marriage, can you find a word that's different than illegitimate? These children are loved and feel and are as needy for validation and security as any other. That word's time has come and gone. Let's find a different one? I wish I had a suggestion. I watched this video, tried to go to sleep and had to turn the light back on because I couldn't leave it unsaid. You are so thoughtful and kind I know you would never intentionally hurt anyone.
