I think if you look at the jump ball play, the official corrected the players who were not on the circle, but missed the jumper for the white team stepping on/across the division line before the toss.

Greg, on the second play the drive was coming from the C's area of coverage. I feel the Lead should have an opinion on this, but I love the C stepping up and making this call, emphatically. C saved the crew because there was no hesitation on the call. The lead should have got there quicker. In a case like this, you know where this play is going. You should be sprinting to get to that end line.

Appreciate what you do. Intentional on the first play.

Agreed. Shooting or no?
@fdhdfh-r3zАй бұрын
1) intentional in the act of shooting (she has stopped the dribble) 3 FT + ball correct the clock 1.4 sec left 2) seems a charge but he is sliding a bit making foul in the act of shooting 4) 11:37 foul in the act of shooting + 11:43 push foul

NCAAM Rule on Blocking is the Secondar Defender needs to obtain intial LGP before the last foot (plant foot) contacts the floor so the blocking foul in that rule set is definitely correct. Obviously that's a whacker at the HS Level, I'm not faulting any official for calling a block here even if in slo-mo we see it's "by rule" a charge literally by a toe. Collision+whacker=JUST CALL SOMETHING and then maybe mark that for future whackers. Great side note to define that not every collision is actually close, THANK YOU. All defenders in transition are secondary in nature...making this a secondary defender. Some states are (hopefully more and NFHS is following) making Lead the primary cadence on all Secondary Defender collision plays in the lane and C/T holding for a secondary cadence. This one finishing right on the lane line...eh, I'm comfy with no primary defender beat, Center has no other defender to referee, so this is the 1 in 10 I'm comfy with Center having primary cadence on. I'd prefer Lead with a little more giddyup to receive the play better and he has space to "cut the corner" to get to close down which on this play is more defendable than wide angle position...that said, shoutout to the discipline by L and T in "not guessing" if you don't believe you have a clean and accurate look at the play.

Intentional foul.

Play 1: Intentional Play 2: fast. Probably a charge but a block works (I have replay) Play 3: ? (I was befuddled by what they were calling/doing) Play 4: Push foul

First play: intentional, but just before the shot (ball was not in the hands). Even so, count the score if it's that close. Make the players decide, not you unless you have to. Intentional foul pmus score, one shot to equalise, 1 second on the clock

But I'm happy with overtime anyway.

Play 2. Block
@y3ung0Ай бұрын
Intentional foul prior to the upward motion of the shot. Clock should be reset to 1.4, white team player who was foul will shoot 2 free throws with lane lines cleared and white team ball at the point of interruption.
