I am for alpha strike I think it would be a good candidate for a narrative campaign like fallout cause Battletech seems to lend itself to a narrative style.

I'm coming from 40k, and I'm absolutely in love with alpha strike. I'm sure classic is a good system, but alpha strike is much new jam

Alpha Strike is one of my favorite miniature games at the moment! Indirect fire needs a spotter and is +1 TN to hit, +2 if the spotter shot or will shoot. Overheat in the "multiple dice" optional rule adds and extra set of dice to roll per OV amount used. Heat only dissipates if you do not shoot weapons in a turn. All heat goes away that turn not firing. You can also dissipate 1 heat if standing in water.

I will say for. Is there a list of games we can for/ against? I am thinking, if you get "for" for all the games, we will only see them once in every 10 videos. I think maybe some idea of what all the options are would be smashing

For. Note that the Clan mechs do not default to skill 3. They default to skill 4 like all mechs, you got to pay PV for that skill 3. The missions in the AS box I think are balanced if you use their mission info exactly.

I’m aware pilot skill factors into overall points I’m pretty sure I said exactly that and it’s how both sides are as close to even as possible in that regard.

Against. I'll be in the minority (only) and say it 😅 I'm not a fan of the models, i have no connection to Battletech, and I'm sure the fun of the game comes from the strategy of picking your maneuvers against an opponent, which I don't think translates well to the video reporting style of the channel. I did originally become a member for Fallout and RE3 primarily, as they are a lot more narrative in style, so this just isn't my cup of tea - like most of the stuff covered as of late.
