Our First Night on Icon of the Seas!

Today is day 1 part 2 of our Icon of the Seas cruise! We board the brand new largest cruise ship in the world! We tour our room which is an infinite balcony and then go to GIOVANNI’S for dinner, then watch the new aquadome show.

Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

When part of your “job” is to make vids and when your one of the first people on a brand new ship it’s kinda a race to get some footage and get the first views and looks up cuz people do look for vids as soon as boarding starts 100% should enjoy the trip and all but if your semi doing it for free by making vids kinda makes the vids pretty important

I’ve heard people complain about the infinite veranda, because you have to choose between air-conditioning in your room or the ocean air and breeze. The second you open it yeah, there goes your air conditioning.

The biggest issue with the infinite balcony to me is that you lose your AC when you open the balcony window. It's understandable with just a curtain but I have mixed feelings about it too. On a cold cruise I think it would be awesome, on a hot weather cruise I am not so sure.
