Viewsonic M2 Projector Review: Rich colours, good audio, but some performance hiccups

The Viewsonic M2 has a square design with a black top and metallic brown design on the sides. The bottom of the device has three rubber feet along with the stand to tilt the projector. The mounting port is in the centre of the bottom of the projector. The bottom also has the housing for the Wi-Fi dongle. The finish of the projector is clean and elegant although the top can get covered in fingerprints easily. It’s minimal all around with the ViewSonic logo on the top and the ‘Sound by Harman Kardon’ logo on the left. The front has the lens along with the focus camera and all the connectivity options are at the back.
Speaking of connectivity, the Viewsonic M2 Projector an HDMI 2.0 port with HDCP 2.2, USB-C port, microSD card slot, USB Type-A port and a 3.5mm audio port. There is also a power port along with an IR receiver. Surprisingly, you don't have to point the remote directly at the front or back of the projector as we’ve seen on others. Pointing it in the vicinity of the projector gets the job done adding to the convenience of ease of use.

If you have an exterior HDR support you get the ( Double HDR effect). Example: projector has HDR on then you have a other HDR supporter such as ( Mac mini, Playstation, AppleTV, KZbin…) on also. You need to turn off the HDR so that only the projector has HDR on. The Viewsonic M2 projector does amazing once you calibrate colors, Gama, Frame interpolation. Turn off wifi always with the exception of updating software. With very high contrast & 1.07 billion colors this viewsonic does way better than the image quality that it shown here.

Urgent answer needed!!!!!!! Can you use any brand Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle with this projector. I've misplaced mine and ordered a TP Link one but not sure whether it will work? Also finding it hard to source spare parts in the UK

@@jasoncompany_8103 Thanks a lot. Can I ask you sth else? When i turn on or off the v auto keystone , I can't see any change. Is it normal ? Also when I place the projector in an angle, the auto keystone doesn't fix the picture as other projectors but the picture remains in an angle. Can I fix this please? Also after half an hour or so, I can smell an unpleasant smell emitting from the projector. Is it normal? It is more obvious If I go to another room and return again in the room with the projector

ViewSonic makes ok Projectors, but their operating OS systems are terrible. !!!!!So basic, you have to put a firestick in the back of their projectors. (It's hell trying to get their basic operating systems to play KZbin and lots more basic apps that should be pre-loaded, but they're not !!!!!.) OK, this is solved by putting an Amazon fire stick in the back of the Viewsonic m2 projector. Then we come to the sound, OMG. I have heard better/louder sound on my mobile phone, there is no Base at all even with the sound adjusted to its maximum base !!!!! They say Harmon Kardon speakers are built-in. HAHAHA, how disappointed you will be. Then the Keystone correction has a massive bright border shadow !!!!! that is so distracting !!!!! (that's when the keystone works properly). good points !!!! good picture in a dark room/ and the projector looks good and runs quiet. (would I buy it again !!!! no way there are much better projectors out there for the same amount of money).
