It feels kinda ironic the the day after WUG final live, The Idolmaster Shiny Colors had their 1st LIVE. As if it were a kind of cycle of life, but of idols. PD: Shiny Colors is very new serie.

Wake Up Girls would always have a special place in my heart because it was the first anime idol that I watched. It pains me to death to see season 2. All the character design, all the music, all the vibe, it wasn't there anymore. It wasn't my WUG lol. Who's in charge of that anyways?

There is the PS Vita game Miracle Girls Festival that I really enjoyed. That was the game that made me realize how awesome their first opening song was.

If this is their final live appearance, does this mean the Girls are now going back to sleep?

While I disagree about Idol Anime being Feminist themed Anime, I do agree with your other points. If it were 10 years ago I would have agreed with that statement as saying it put the female characters into a role where they had to decide how they were going to make use of their limited opportunity of being Young Idols which can at most last for only 10 years before their careers are overtaken by other younger idols. Considering how bad feminism has become over the past 10 years, I would rather stay away from anything claiming to be a feminist anime as there are many groups in the west that attack anything that the anime audience enjoys is often associated with the word feminism. Not sure where you stand on that topic, but I have to seriously point out that when you bring Politics into Fictional Entertainment, then it just poisons it for everyone who just wants to enjoy a work of fiction for being, well a work of fiction. I would rather see Wake Up Girls as being an Anime that takes the hopeful dreams of an Anime Idol Group only to deliver it a huge dose of Reality Check to be a timely reminder of how dark and how hard the industry can be for those who are not prepared for it. Same thing with any other entertainment industry, it may be all glamor and lights but within the shadows there is allot of struggle and sometimes tragic stories.

"People need idols to remind them of the good things in life". No they don't, musicians, artists, bands, and singers for decades have already done that far better than idols have, and for the most part they don’t try to manipulate the fanbase, trying to get the fans to depend on them for the rest of their lives. "The real girls and women that do enter the idol industry shouldn't be chastised for it, especially if they continue knowing the hardships, they should be applauded and supported because it takes strength to even be a part of it, this equates idols in image along with the demand for purity from fans who are being exploited monetarily, while the idols are being exploited generally" So we should applaud and congratulate someone going into an abusive relationship, knowing full well of what will happen because it takes strength to do so, great logic, let's applaud people who go into shitty relationships, where they're emotionally, physically, and psychologically abused and controlled by pieces of garbage people who care more about making a quick buck and being in control of than caring for a human life. Equates to image? Are you serious? You mentioned that the abuse idols go through on a daily basis, just because something looks cute or nice doesn’t make it okay. Lastly, how is it morally okay for fans to be exploited? They were brainwashed into idol culture by idols who have continued to go along with their careers, knowing full well what they're doing.
