What I do know is that it’s basically proof that you legally own an image online (like a digital receipt), but like Bob showed near the end, this doesn’t stop other people from using the image, such as copying and pasting it for your use. It’s stupid, but apparently there’s something about it being bad for the environment, which is the part I don’t really understand anything about. Other than that, I don’t know what’s so bad about them.

A little clarification, nft's arent the picture, they are the underlying code that shows ownership of said item. You can right click and save a picture but it wont get you access to special events like those bored apes have. Also nft's can be car deeds, house deeds, I have a website built on one. While funny, this joke does get a little old and is based on just not having enough knowledge. I have nothing against people who dislike nft's but it does tend to feel like im talking to anti-vaxxers or flat earthers. To put it another way, you can be into nft's and not even touch nft art, it can be music, concert tickets, deeds, car registration information, anything that has some data you want verified and tradeable.
