This movie really gave us a message of how the real Luke was feeling, many of his fans was critiquing about the actual changes. I feel so happy that many people get this message and understand how hard is for him doing this: not only create content for us, but leading the Glitch Productions in the real life. Besides, this is a big change, cause what symbolizes is an end of an era that persisted more than a decade. I hope that many others accept it and know that we must change like them.

I feel like that movie was SMG4's attempt to say sorry to all the haters from the Anime Arc forwards. "It's not like the old days, when everything was simple." Yeah, but changes are an important thing in everyone's lives. Some of the new characters may be useless, and the amount of Arcs, lores, may be too much, but…you get my point. The good old Gen Z is dead, so this is what we're going with now, and it's not that bad. You got a problem, just leave. He just wants to make you guys happy and if he can't please everyone, at least he's got the ones who actually appreciate him for who he is.

This was simply incredible. It's so easy for content creators, or any artist for that matter, to slip into the mindset that they're only as good as what they give the world. When in reality, it's about the friends you make along the way. You're already perfect, and real friends won't let you forget it. I also love the character development SMG3 got. He has truly gone from being SMG4's enemy, to one of his best friends. This movie was the most disturbing, most hilarious, most heartfelt, and yes, his most perfect piece of art yet.

| The Mushroom Kingdom's royal castle was the only surviving remnant of SMG4's comfort zone, the place Luke has been making an effort to step out and keep out of, and the place most of his veteran ""fans"" have chosen to sit and stay, dropping their respect for SMG4 when he chose to try new exciting things. Some of said veterans have even gone as far as harassing him and anyone who agrees with his choices. This is part of what put a toll on his state of mind as a content creator, and he's made several satirical jokes poking fun at this subject matter starting a couple of years ago with his video _'Mario's Mask of Madness'._ A whole video centered around that message was inevitable, but necessary. A final message to everyone that he is growing as a person, so he naturally wants the quality of his work to grow with him. As humans, most of us want that same thing. It's almost inherent in everyone. I am a veteran of SMG4's content myself; I remember first discovering him when the original _'Mario Simulator'_ was less than two months old. And yet, after all these years, after all the changes and choices he and his team have made, I have never once found myself resenting the gradual development of his content. I haven't and would never say or do the potentially toxic things that are typically associated with those who've been with SMG4 as long as I have. As someone who's working to be an author, I not only understand his decisions, but I appreciate them! In my opinion, his work, as well as himself, has only gotten better! I would be lying to myself to say that the way his work is now isn't a much better deal than it was way back when! And that's okay! Whether we like it or not, everyone goes through changes. We may love the simpler times, but we as people should not let nostalgia turn us away from our potential- and we shouldn't let it convince ourselves that no one else is allowed to reach their potential. And if it does, in the case of SMG4 and his content, then are you really a fan? Those who choose to walk the path with Luke are the true fans. The _'SMG4 Movie: It's Gotta Be Perfect'_ was the final message telling us that he will create that which his heart desires, not to appease those who despise him for changing, but for the smiles of those who chose to stick around through thick and thin! Farewell, Peach's Castle. You were a sacred temple full of the many wonderful memories of SMG4, a source of millions of smiles, and a central hub for an abundance of great things. You were knocked over, crushed, sunken under the foundation, burned to the ground, and blown to smithereens countless times, and you were even warped into the real world once, destroying a local Australian neighborhood [lmao]. You really took quite a beating over the past decade for our entertainment. We'll have your memory for years to come, and you will be missed... However, this is not the end. While I can't speak for everyone, a lot of us welcome a new castle with open arms! I personally can't wait to see the new homebase be utterly leveled time and time again by usually Mario's antics! X DD Heres to the path forward.

Agreed. While I wouldn’t say the channel has gotten better or worse (it’s subjective at the end of the day), I don’t see any of the changes that have happened as “bad” in any way. No one HAS to like them, but the toxicity can really get out of hand. More people need to realize that not everyone has or should have the same opinion as them. Not only that, but their opinions are NOT fact.

If you think about it, they ran with the idea of SMG4's fear of losing friends and fans because he thinks his videos aren't perfect from the Genesis Arc. When Mario went into SMG4's mind to save his sanity, we saw those fears and those same fears come together in this movie. Think about THAT.

And I will say, that 2023 has been a big improvement for SMG4 episodes compared to 2022 (I mean the episodes following Revelations which had some good episodes like Mario goes to the zoo and welcome to Mario Mart but also had bad episodes like it Mario was the Last Man on Earth). This was a truly amazing movie that shows the pressure fanbase scan have along with the message of not obsessing over perfection. I feel as though that while the tv adware guy is gone, it probably won’t be the last we’ll see if it since we still need to learn who it was and why it sold the demonic keyboard. As for what I see happening in later episodes, I have a feeling Peach will either be killed off for real or just be put on a bus for a while.

Honestly this movie was a master of symbolism. It's not easy to make symbolism in such a way that seamlessly mixes with both reality and the plot, while having multiple meanings, both of which are related. The usb reflected the smg4 series to date, with smg4 debating if to stay as it is and keep the respect or to try something new and risk losing everything. The other characters reflected the loyal fans, and smg4 couldn't leave until he had finished the smg4 story properly. While I really don't like him rebooting the series like this, since the castle was the last remaining tie with Mario 64 and the series roots, I can still appreciate the effort it takes to make such a good hidden story on top of a great face value one. But thinking that we won't be seeing the castle or it's grounds anymore is so hard to understand, since it's been there since the beginning and is truly a part of the smg4 world. It won't feel complete without it anymore.

It's not easy to be a content creator. You tend to hold yourself to unreasonable standards, equating your self-worth and value on the content you make, and the views and feedback you get from it. You feel like what you make isn't good enough, and you need to be perfect. You can't please everybody, but the negativity can stick with you just as much as the positivity, and even overshadow it. SMG4 is no exception, and while he really went off the deep end because of a demonic keyboard, it's clear he's been having these thoughts for a while, thoughts that SMG3's familiar with as well. He let his obsession with pleasing his fans, trying to make a perfect video, make him lose sight of what really mattered. However, SMG4's lucky to have good friends like Mario, Meggy, SMG3 (even if he won't admit it), and all the others to stand by him and lift him back up when he's feeling down. The 'perfect' video isn't worth losing what's really important. That said, seeing the Mario 64 castle disappear really was heartbreaking. It's been there since the beginning of the series, and now, it's gone. It really feels like the end of an era...But that just means it's time for a fresh start. They may not know where and how they'll do it, but I'm confident that once SMG4 and his friends are done, the new castle really is going to be perfect for all of them.

I know you've been reacting to SMG4 for a long time, but acting as if you know everything about this series and its characters isn't really reacting, its just agreeing with most things that are said or done in the video. Like with you saying they're not going to kill off SMG3 and/or SMG4 because they just got redesigned and that they need to use the new models. I mean, they only had SMG0 debut in one video before immediately killing him off or that they brought back Oneshot Wren for more of Meggy's character development (even though hers is already extremely overused at this point) just to give him the same treatment as Niles. My point is, never assume like you know what these people will do because there's no *real* way of knowing for sure and if they wanted to, they always could kill off another main character like SMG3, Tari, Saiko, Shroomy or even just decide one day to actually redesign Mario and Luigi so they can abandon what's left of the *Super Mario 64* machinima parody style so they can fully embrace an original IP webseries. I mean, if they did they'd be complete idiots because they'd have to know that essentially axing Mario would be the death of this channel, but they've made clearly poor choices before (Boopkins original redesign) so they're not exactly as talented and professional as you think. Given they just repeated Meggy's story with Desti for Melony with Axol, you can't deny that they've been lazy and repetitive before because they just want more profits from merchandise and easy, quick ways for more story arcs to happen. Let's face it, the whole Lawsuit arc was a lazy, cheap way to get rid of SMG4's nintendo OC look and then did the same to the castle. There's simply a part of them that isn't loyal to their older fans from the classic days.
