I’ve been a cop for 30 years and seen the worst in humanity. A couple months ago I hit the same exact wall you hit. I was sick of everything and wanted it all to end. You said word for word what I was feeling and thinking. I turned to God, and prayed so hard I was on my knees it my front yard at 5am. I prayed the darkness would be taken out of me. During that night I woke up with my upper body being lifted off the bed. I felt the darkness being pulled out of me. I felt the sense of peace and love take over. I was eased back down to the bed and I could feel myself smiling and thanking God for this sign. I have not missed church since this event. I haven’t told many about this but felt compelled to share it with you and your viewers. I too have found a church of like minded people with good hearts and no hidden agendas for being there. I thoroughly enjoy going and my faith has never been stronger. I continue to lead my agency the way God wants me too. Others are talking and saying the change in me is incredible. I no longer hold hate in my heart for anyone and my faith is unbreakable. Keep up the good fight and repeat the words, Give it to God, when you feel like a situation is getting the best of you. I served in the infantry in Iraq from 2004-2005. I did those things. I came home and ended up living hotels drinking my life away 5 years ago. Until I met a woman. As a 74 year old Vietnam combat vet, I was moved to tears during this show. I came to faith in Christ at the age of 39 and He changed my life. I was in tears, thank you. 🙏 Binged all three of the Victor Marx episodes today. Then ended with this! God pursued me very similarly, putting people in front of me and around me to the point I just couldn’t ignore it anymore. Then he finally spoke to me when I asked. I struggle a lot with what is going on lately in the world and to hear you share the peace you have found in Christ our Lord. This is what I am focusing on lately and it was amazing to hear it from you as well. This all came at the right time, Today a friend of mine and brother in faith, started outlining our podcast to share our journey. This is insanely amazing. I’m a believer, preacher, former pastor. Ex alcoholic and drug addict, tons of PTSD blah blah blah. Similar story. Met my husband a former Marine in recovery, he relapsed and started cheating also. I couldn’t deal with both so I divorced him and God helped me to raise my sons with very little child support. I am so touched by this video with you and your wife. I was a US Army MP who supported operators and spent 27 years as a law enforcement officer in the State of Texas. I too had my demons and internal battles from my time in the Army and as a LEO in Texas. I had my best friend/former partner who was a USMC MP commit suicide, and I didn't see it coming. I too owe my wife who is a believer and servant of God and my brother who once asked me. "How many lives do you have?" He told me I better find God. I was raised in the church that my dad pastored, so I knew God but had slipped away from him. I am happy that I am back in the fold of the Lord. God bless you, sir.

Man, I know this video is almost a year past, but, I sat and watched it for the first time today. I was so blown away by you and your wife. Your passion for justice and for finding your spirituality was so moving. When you talked about feeling like you were alone, and that you were the one that was an outcast to this world because of your beliefs, is what so many people feel, including myself. I think God picked the right man for the right idea, and has helped make this all happen. As an ex-military guy myself (11yrs, 8 of which in a SOF organization) this podcast helps me feel alleviated of problems I can't explain, by somehow making me feel closer to other people like myself who I've never met but feel connected to The sense of humility, and humour, resonates with me. And he's found a worthwhile fight since getting out (seems like he's targeting pedophilia & twisted stuff that targets kids) Not finding a food fight or a good cause is probably one of the biggest emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges that vets face & if not found adequately, plays a big role in eventually giving up. (Just my own opinion) But Shawn has found all of these things, and I think it's because God knew he was absolutely someone the world NEEDS right now Without his show, nobody here in the comment section would probably ever cross paths. And tonight I got a chance to read something written by a church pastor from Pittsburg that I wouldn't have otherwise... Something about the community/audience his show brings together just feels 'right' 😊🙏

I’m not a vet or will ever serve in our military, not because I don’t honor and value our country but because serving our country takes a special calling that only a few can uphold. My nephew was in the seals. In Iraq came home went back several times. He was pretty jaded and dissolutioned by losing some of his men and a few real friends. He has since retired. He went through a lot like you. He has now turned to Christ and is doing so much better.

This was probably the best episode hands down. This is my testimony I was a drug addict, suicidal thoughts my entire life, and I've never felt like this world was my home. Back in 2017 I lost my old man we hunted we fished together we drank together we did everything together he was my best friend. During 2020 when all these agendas were hitting, that's when I came to the conclusion this was not my home. So I even got worse on the drugs, one night in the middle of the night someone grabbed me and threw me off my bed. I fell so hard on my knee it woke me up and I went to screaming and cussing thinking someone broke into my house. ( I live alone) I ran over to the light and turned the light on just to see nobody there as I looked at my bed there was blood all over my pillow and sheets. So i walked in the bathroom looked in the mirror just to see my face covered in blood. That was the first time I even thought there could possibly be a God. But I knew I just survived an Od. Not fully convinced I went on living my life. With every intention just to end it because there was literally no more hope in my eyes. During the month I was getting ready to put the sig to my head. I ran into three people who I was very close with, and they witnessed to me what Jesus Christ had did for them and was still doing. I was told to listen to Derek Prince, so with absolutely nothing to lose. I took their advice and kept on listening. About three weeks goes by and I'm really at the point where I had to know if there was a God or not. Because the only thing in the back of my mind was if I kill myself and go to hell I'm going to be even more pissed off. I used to tell people I was an atheist but I guess I was more agnostic. I'll never forget the day that changed. I was listening to Derek Princes sermon on Redemption. And it was as if someone came over hit the light switch from off to on in my brain. It was like a lightning bolt struck my head and the very second that happened I truly believed. Instantly in fear I fell to my knees and cried out to Jesus and The Holy Spirit fell on me and I instantly felt the peace I was searching for. I'm here to tell you as a living witness Jesus Christ is very real and he is the son of God. Since then I've been learning a lot about spiritual warfare and the demonic. I've been called to deliverance. I went to the movies one night with the group of my church friends to go see the movie Come out in Jesus name. During the movie a girl literally manifested a demon. That person happened to be sitting right next to me. God literally threw me into it so as me and a couple others were laying hands praying over that person I got a thought out of nowhere ask the spirit its name. As soon as I did a man's voice replied out of the girl saying I'm Simon. With boldness from the Holy Spirit I yelled at it and said Simon you must come out of her in the name of Jesus. She started coughing and puking and a few seconds later she's back to her normal self. God has given me a great gift. And has restored everything I have lost. Trusting God and his mercy and Grace has given me a whole new reason to live. I pray that whoever sees this the Holy Spirit falls on you just like he did me. I love you brothers and sisters and I'm praying that every one of you find your salvation.

Crazy how you can be so influenced by other people. I am agnostic, I am a man of facts and empirical proof. The stories and scripture in the Holy Bible do not coincide with documented scientific facts. How can we look beyond the fact the Bible states things that are untrue? Shawn, I was a 20 year old German girl who has a very good caring family growing up, including my very large extended family. Married an American GI stationed near our East/West German border. After coming with him and our 10 month old daughter to live in Michigan in June 1961. Over and over I experienced one shocking experience after another in the way I was being treated by him. Now at age 84 I understand what and who is operating in the hearts and minds of people everywhere. Shawn, I’m a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I too have a past with some high highs and the lowest of lows that almost was the end. I received Jesus as my Lord and my Savior a number of years ago and everything changed. I've watched countless hours of your show and this is the most important episode. I've learned so much from you and many of the guys you've had on, but this life is the tiniest speck of sand in the scope of eternity. Knowing and accepting Jesus, God in the flesh, who paid the price for our sin on the cross, is what allows us to spend all of eternity with God. I've been in the Navy for 17 years now. I refused the vaccine, got rolled into that Texas lawsuit with some team guys and im still active. Since then God has sent so many people to me to hear my testimony. God saved my life during a acid trip where I tried to kms one weekend stationed at FT Lewis on the way back to base because of all the childhood trauma that slapped me in the face while I was on it an didn’t know how to react. I jumped out of a moving vehicle head first to wake up from my “nightmare” which was just my life. Angels carried me to the ground an I got up off the pavement without even a piece of dirt on my clothing. I was a long ways from God an this was before I even went to Iraq but if he hadn’t saved me that day in 07’ I wouldn’t be here today sharing my testimony an the father of an amazing 11 year old boy as well as someone who also mentors a lot of young boys without fathers like I was as a young lost orphan. God made this all possible from the ashes of my broken life. Keep going brother I’ll be praying for you and your beautiful family. God is merciful an faithful an every good thing we can imagine. The good news is God loves us, the better news is there’s nothing we can do about it. I agree , it’s so refreshing to see man and wife trusting each other , being vulnerable, respectful of each others individual journeys and shared journey and just be free to be themselves learn grow explore. So beautiful to watch people be so open about being on the journey of discovery and seeking. You definitely don’t have to be religious in any way to appreciate his awakening. A lot of people awaken through psychedelics as a catalyst and I think it beautiful no matter which path you choose as long as it’s positive. I also love how he is sharing and not preaching or trying to convert. People connect to God in many ways. This was beautiful. 🥰

I’m watching this a year after you posted this. You said you lose it when you go to church. That brought back memories of when I was first saved. I cried every time I went to church too! It was such happy, grateful, kind of aw struck tears of my eyes being opened & blinders being removed from my eyes & heart. It was peace, joy. Thank you for doing this interview and being so vulnerable. My prayers are others will receive the love Jesus has for them & CHOOSE HIM today. Let Jesus speak to their hearts to tell them what HE thinks of them & who HE created them to be(not the lies the evil ruler/father of lies of this world tries to convince us of). Remember Satan is on God’s leash. We know Jesus wins in the end. We have to stay strong. I love the way your wife looks at you. She loves you so deeply (and you at her). ❤ I hope you read this Shawn. You have encouraged me to draw close to the Lord with the same joy as when I was first saved AND to draw close to my husband as I did when we first married. God bless you & your family
