This game needs more players. Avg regular player base is about 3k. For those worried bout joing a small player base of vets in the game. Remember it takes 1 headshot to win a gunfight. Bloom is your bestfriend & worst enemy at times. Crouch/prone for better aim. Shootout & elim to learn the game. Encounter for resources for base upgrades. Dont lone wolf unless you know what you’re doing. Always assume youre being watched cuz you probably are considering its camp heavy. Its very fun tho & honestly i feel like if we had more people the game would thrive tremendously. Ive given it a lot of time the last couple months(been playin on & off for a few yrs) & its honestly in a great place(not perfect) & my best advice to new players is this. DONT BE AFRAID TO ENGAGE IN GUNFIGHTS & DIE. Its a game you will lose…you cant get better without trying. Dont just hide all game, theres no improvement in such. Have fun, learn, & remember…it takes 1 bullet to beat ANYONE at ANYTIME. You can whiff a whole mag & get a lucky headshot, you never know!!!

Also for barred house & locked container, you can shoot the windows/doors & locks off. For picking locks they light up green when correct. If you see/hear birds in the distance THERE IS A PLAYER THERE!!! People camp exits A LOT, always check em. If you hear a weird/creepy noise/laugh its a troll(collect it) no automatic reloads you have to do it yourself. You cant use consumables while proned. You can shoot through wooden walls/floors sum guns cant tho, mainly ARs, Rifles, LMGs, SGs. Radiation is faster than it used to be, keep iodine on you at all times(or caffeine/adrenaline) in begining of the game during pre-lobby take a picture of everyone(easier to keep track of players as you kill em or find their bodies🤫)

A year ago when I first started for some reason I was so damn timid sneaking around the map an would avoid gun fights if at all possible but it became boring FAST, my best decision in this game was when I said fuck it would confront anybody. I'll admit I'm guilty of using consumables along with setting ambushes (some call it camping but ambushes and camping are identical imo) plus there's 1 or 2 maps we're it pays just to equip a good sniper an crawl in the bushes taking well places shots. But every player is diff an those were just my own experiences now I have 750+ kills so BIG BIG improvement for menlol😂

Shootout is to get better. Everybody plays against everybody. With it you can get familiar to the weapons and you see how other/good players approach you (sweaties) and you can learn how to counter it the best. It also gives you a crate if you win (or if you are 2nd if it is boosted i guess). You will not lose anything since you are going in without equipment and weapons. I used to play Shootout as a warm-up for Encounters.

My biggest tip for Vigor is to do most of your running with your gun on your back. You are a lot more agile and quicker and you can quickly equip your gun when heading inside a building. I play on xbox with the elite series 2 controller so I have the triangle (y xbox button) to one of my back buttons where its second nature getting the gun right back in hand in sketchy situations. Also when people see you running without a gun in your hand, they also tend to be a lot more careless so you can trick them into easy traps.

Do you like the Elite 2? Jw bc I've been looking into some aftermarket controllers and I like the Vicrtix Gambit but Turtle beach came out with a hall effect controller which basically eliminates stuck drift.

@@Clingerman93 The Elite Series 2 control is a good controller, but it does have its flaws. Every couple of months I have to take it apart and spray some contact cleaner into some of the contact points like the rb and lb contacts. I haven't had any stick drift using it for over a year and a half, but I always set the L3 and R3 buttons to back buttons in FPS games which reduces the chance of stick drift. I do really love the controller, but it definitely has some annoying cons for a 160+ dollar controller. They should improve their quality control for the Elite Series 3 controller that is supposedly coming out within the next year.

Your first 10 encounters only matches you with same and near same exp players. Wait till you get in a lobby with 3 5,000+ killers and 3 2,500+ killers ( happens to me yesterday and I've never seen a lobby like that ever)

Hi, nice gameplay. Yes, you can remove the key from your pocket and replace it with another one. But there are around 8 - 10 keys in the game, so even if you remove it, there are many more in the game and might have been found. Aiming down sight in 1st person mode is not a good idea, only if you snipe. Movement is very slow and it is intended for precise shooting. in close range you should not aim at all and should shoot in 3rd person which is faster. Some more tips. * Always lay down when you check your map otherwise you are an easy target. * Don´t lay down except you are sure that you have not been seen. Otherwise you will be an easy target and you will get a head-shot. * Audio is good so you can hear someone very easily. Running is louder, so you should walk or crouch-walk in case you think someone is near. * When you have the airdrop from a crate (not the one from the airplane) you can stealth it still as long as the comms are active.

@@colbykissane6485 there are several communication stations on the map where you can alter the airdrop. There are some good options and some not so good ones. The good ones are that you can choose where exactly it should land and then you see this landing point on your map. You can also make it invisible/stealth it so that even you have it you will not be seen. The icon with the running man will then not blink red, so this is how you see if the airdrop is stealth. You can do it also with a airdrop you find in a crate. So you can decide if you take it first and run to comm station to stealth it or you go first to the comm station, stealth it and go back to take it.

@@colbykissane6485 the other good one is that you can put supply in it (eg bandage, ..) or that you can make two airdrops out of it where only one contains the real airdrop. The bad ones are that you can put a bomb on the airdrop so that you first have to deactivate it, you can radiate it or make it heavier so that the carrier will be slower.

Shootout is a free for all you don’t need to take anything it randomly gives you weapons and you respawn after death the point is to rack up the most kills. It’s a lot of fun and better to play for beginners cause it’s cost less in terms of gear and loot, you can only gain and the experience and practice shooting and moving is where it’s at.

A tip if u didnt know as long as you reach the exfill area whens its counting down u wont die to radiation but to bullets yea, also yea you can team up to 3 people for an encounter or elimination is like 5 ppl and shootout is strictly solo

Also for new players, encounter is automatic solo unless you lone wolf or are playing with friends/people in a party. If you use painkillers they are intended to give full health & you lose that temporarily health 1st but if there is no white health left when it runs out you will DIE. Heal with other meds. Always keep adrenaline & caffeine at all times

Seriously though. I played this a few years ago back when I played a fair amount on console. The amount of camping especially 3rd person extract camping was insane. Glad I dropped it. There was so many instances I got dropped by someone waiting at extract or a bs location. I get it’s a tactic and they won but yeah got bored real quick. Which is weird because I love DayZ, Arma, Deadside, Gray Zone Warfare etc. Overall not a bad game to get people into the genre of extraction shooters just hope they only use it temporarily then excel to other better titles before they completely drop the whole genre.
