Vigorelli maxi8500 sewing machine

I got a 7500 on craigslist a few years ago. It worked when I got it. I set it aside and forgot about it. When I got it out a couple of weeks ago, it was frozen, seized. I didn’t have a manual so didn’t know where to oil. I put it in the shop where it still sits. 😢 I found an 8500. It is allegedly new old stock. It runs but is noisy compared to older Necchi and Pfaff and Bernina and Singer machines. It came with a manual so I oiled it, and it seems quieter. Maybe after it has run some more, the oil will work into the gears and make it even quieter…I hope. the main reason I wanted this machine is for the moving plate. Just thought that was so interesting. 😂 I wonder what you think of your 8500 after a year, or if you even still have it. It’s mostly metal inside, but I spotted a few plastic parts.

Hello... Excuse my bad English, could you upload a new video showing more detail how this machine works? There were some images that it is not possible to see exactly how it worked. I am interested in buying this model, do you really recommend it to me even today? 11 months after uploading this video. I greatly appreciate your video because I have no absolute idea about this machine and it really seems like a good machine for its different types of embroidery. Thank you and have a great day.

Hi Kim. I recently purchased a Maxi 8500, mine is new old stock. I cut open the box myself, it looks like your's is as well. I intend on scanning and uploading the manual in the next few days and would be glad to share if you are in need.

By now you’ve probably figured out the buttonholer, but if not, just turn to the numbers on the dial in order to sew each buttonhole element: side, end, other side, other end.

Does this machine use plastic drive gears or metal drive gears?
