That looks like an unusual type of clock ⏰️, or a novelty item. The beads are probably held suspended in midair by magnets 🧲 in the base. Very interesting 👌. Your friend, Jeff.

It uses ultrasonics to create standing waves that can suspend lightweight objects. The beads are super light styro.

I like how you show what tools you use. That's great for all the first timers out there. Even well seasoned like me, I also like to see what kind of tool somebody else uses. Maybe I'm missing out! I also have a circuit board holder. I'm not sure if I learned that from you in one of your radio builds or not.

Might have been another channel on the board holder. I think those are cool. My setup is a cardboard box, and I solder standing. Yes, I don't show that :) I have a helping hands somewhere, but never set it up. They are fiddly. Joining wires together would be nice with one of those as well.
