VIII Legion 'Night Lords': Tactics & Structure (Warhammer & Horus Heresy Lore)

Night Lords were the only Legion that had to "tone it down a bit" when joining the Heresy. Even Khorne thought they enjoyed their flaying pits a little too much.

I don't think the Nightlords really dedicate themselves to any specific power of the warp, but you know something is up, when even the Blood God thinks you are taking things a bit too far.

In theory they would be working for the "god of fear" which really SHOULD exist in 40k but its way too late in the game to add a god who should have been their the whole time. The god of fear suddenly being retconned into existence would rip the lore of AOS and 40k a new one. And thats why the night lords technically follow chaos undivided becauses they are more murderous then khorne creepier and more disturbing than anything nurgles come up with, more excessive than slaanesh, and more calculating than tzeentch.

Their lore is kinda stupid in how OP it makes them almost seem hmm.... but then again the other two chapters from "old albia" the death guard and Iron hands are also presented as being OP. Im an Iron Hands fanboy but i still don't really understand why Ferrus and subsequently the Iron Hands were part of "the dauntless few" then again thats what being an Iron Hand is all about, never ending self scrutiny. I'm sure he did deserve it, its just my job to question why as logical Iron Father of Clan Raukaan.

I've found now that when I'm reading official lore content or reading the background chapters in Cain novels, I'm reading them in the voice and intonation of Oculus Imperia. Truly wonderful what you can do with simple audio.

Honestly? You are by FAR and away the best 40k lore channel out there. There are many that I love, but everything you do is stunning. The delivery, the script, the framing of it as an Imperial record specifically, it's fantastic. I adore it. I've never found the Imperium especially interesting, especially not the various marine chapters, but you've /made/ me interested. This really is just fantastic.

I was thinking you could do the special on either the Adeptus Custodes or the Sisters of Silence. Both are super-fanatical, powerful beings loyal only to the Emperor rather than the Imperium and I just love the designs of both.

I have been into 40k for 4 years or so and out of all the channels and videos i listen to yours is by far the most in depth and well worded. Usually 40k videos are compose of theories and direct passages from the wiki and lex, but you pulled your sources from codex's and books and its a pleasure to hear it all right in one video. I find space marines the most boring thing in 40k. But i have watched every one of your videos on the legions. I'd love it if you did more on the xenos. Different hive fleets, different Ork clans and so on.
