Wonderful Gaurish Akki Sir. Not many know the intricacies of Buddhism. I am very thankful for you for bringing all the basic tenets of Buddhism to the common people through this video through Kannada. I highly appreciate you for being very rational and logical in asking the questions and covering many dimensions and also how non-biased you are in exploring any new subject. And if you see all his answers, how instinctive and non-contradictory they are. In recent times, with respect to spirituality, I have not found any such conversation with that much clarity in thoughts like him and the quality and weight of the questions that you asked. Also I would like to elaborate the answers given by Acharya Dhammapala Guruji in my subsequent comments. Thanks!

To the question of Buddha's father responsible to make Buddha follow the spiritual path. 1. No. It was just another trigger. If his father had not done that, there would had another trigger in nature to make Buddha follow that. To become a Buddha one has to fill 10 buckets/cultivate 10 inner qualities. When these buckets are filled, then one will ripen to become Buddha. One or the other trigger will come through Nature. These are called perfections/qualities and the ten perfections are: 1) Dana - He should reach the peak of giving dana. In the last lifetime, Buddha will give away his wife and children to a stranger who asks them. Even though he loves his wife and children he gives away to cultivate the generosity/dana. When he does this, the dana bucket will become full. 2) Morality - Practicing abstention from killing, theft, sexual misconduct, lies, intoxicants 3) Renunciation - Ability to Leave the domestic life permanently and becomes a monastic 4) Wisdom - This is understanding how the temporary nature of our body in this universe. This Buddha gets to know when he practices meditation under Bodhi tree. 5) Effort - Energy, persistence. Just how military people put utmost energy while doing duty. Like they will be awake for straight 72 hours. These kind of energy to be cultivated. Buddha was at his peak in this. 6) Tolerance - Tolerate other people even though how worst being he might be. 7) Truthfulness - Not breaking promises. Just how we hear Punyakoti story how cow will abide by its promise. 8) Resolution - If we have one thought in mind, we should be resolved to the highest level to achieve that. Buddha had this developed to the highest level. You can see how he was strong minded to get enlightenment at any cost 9) Loving kindness - Always love. In whatever situation he was, he always used to love all kind of people. You can see how Jesus Christ was loving the same people who crucified him. Such kind of love Buddha had developed. 10) Equanimous - Keeping the mind stable in every situation both happy and sad. Even if you get 100crores, or even if you loose all of your property or family members, the state of mind should be same. When any human being practices these qualities in each lifetime, a time will come, when, anyone can become a Buddha. Its just like, how a ripen fruit will definitely fall to ground, one with all these qualities will definitely become Buddha. This is the Law of Nature.

I have few questions to dhammapala bhanteji if he can answer ,,,,gaurish - we have clear and most clarified texts and scriptures about life , how to lead a life ,who is God, what is his view on humans ,life and death, whatt0 follow,what not to follow ,everything included in BHAGAVADGITA!! WHY DIDTHIS GUY IGONORE ALLL these scriptures and got Interest in Buddhism?? what made him to think scriptures and texts from bhagavadgita is false ? I don't understand these guys who sticks to their own thoughts with all the ignorance in mind and not ready to accept anything apart from what they know making g it con fined yoga , karma is more explained in detail more than any wprld religious texts in bhagavadgita, Why these people Chose to ignore and not accept this ? ಸನಾತನ ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮ ವೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಾದದ್ದು, ಶಿವನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನೋದಯ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬುದ್ಧನು ಶಿವ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲ ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಜ್ಞಾನೋದಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ
