Awesome review, on point with the game's intention from a gameplay, story/history, and complexity, replayability perspective. Hurray!

Thank you for designing this game. I am a high schooler now living in the part of the world where the Vijayanagara empire actually existed and have read about this bit of history quite a bit. I can see a lot of thought and research went into making this game so thank you for that :) One q: the map labeling seems closer to modern India than the medieval version as far as I can tell from this video. If so, was this an intentional design choice? Hope to pick up the game when it becomes available here.

@@adityarajivratnam6863 Hello! Names on the map are consistent with region names that date back to, and generally predate, this period. There are a couple exceptions, since there weren't really Provinces in the way that the game depicts (maybe this is what you mean). The map choices were all intentional - leaning historical, but with some decisions made in service to gameplay. I hope you find a copy someday! We're working on finding ways to send more copies out there.

Yeah. This one is cool. It takes some of the complexity out of the COIN system, and gets it just right in my opinion. By the way, the name Vijayanagara comes from two words, Vijaya (victory) and Nagara (city). Breaking it down that way helps with the pronunciation I think.
