The dark urge one had my jaw dropped the sheer power and betrayal that happens is insane. I romanced shadow heart in that playthrough and she was in my team at the time. Then it gave me the prompt to kill her with on last kiss. They really let you be pure evil

These are two different endings, one is Gale controlling the Netherbrain, the other is Gale taking the crown and becoming a god. Though, I agree with you, the best ending for Gale is not becoming a god.

This is not the god gale ending. Arguably, that also isn’t a “good” ending, but it’s not Gale’s evil ending

Gale taking over the Absolute is evil, God Gale is just selfish/bad ending, Professor is good. Bad endings don't always equal evil. God Gale while a 'bad' ending, is actually still not evil and is neutrally aligned. Unless you're playing as them (like this video shows) Gale, Karlach & Wyll, have bad endings, yes, but aren't ever evil aligned.

I'd guess this IS that ending. It seems like in the video the player turned her away from Vlaakith and then had her take over the Absolute. I'd be interested to see how different Lae'zel would be taking over the Absolute while still loyal to Vlaakith. In the same way I assume there is a different ending for Shadowheart if she also stayed loyal to Shar and then took over the Absolute.

@ unfortunately from what I’ve seen Shadowheart’s evil ending seems to be the same no matter what. Which makes it not really make sense if you’ve been 100% loyal to Shar and even killed your parents for her.

@@ShamelesslillyIf you made Shadowheart take over the absolute, she went against Shar’s wishes and kind of just betrayed her. For some reason, Shar just really liked Shadowheart and just wanted her to build a church and followers in Shar’s name.

Getting the evil ending requires taking over the netherbrain. That requires killing Orpheus if you rescued him. Voss is still loyal at that point and I don't think there is a way for the loyalty to flip.
