Don't get hung up on the ships name. We have sailed on the Viking Sky an Star and the Orion they are identical and you will not realise you are on different ship. Same service same respect. BY not considering the other ships you are limiting your travel opportunity.

We have taken 3 cruises with Viking. the Baltic. Med and Egypt you will not find a better cruise line in the cruising industry it is truly value for your money. We will be ding another with Viking when we get out of the Covid 19 problem. It's the most ethical business I have ever dealt with.

I sailed on the Viking Sun from Valparaiso Chile to Sydney Australia from February to March of 2019 and went solo, loved everything about it. Maybe they will offer a single supplement in the future as I had to pay double occupancy price. Still worth it.

hey ted the price quoted on websites is double occupancy price right? if their site says xxx dollars for the cruise, then once i pay those i dont have to pay anything more because i am alone correct?

@@Tomahawk1999 it's best to use a travel agent to find a trip. There's no extra cost to use a travel agent. Some ship lines have cabins just for one person so you just pay for one person but most cabins sell for the price of two people.

I sail Trans Atlantic crossings on Viking as a solo. I was surprised how thoughtful & prepared Viking Ocean is for solo travelers, considering their niche market is couples. On our sailing March, 2020 there were at least 15 solos.

I loved our cruise from Athens to Thailand until I caught Typhoid somewhere in the mideast and was put off the ship in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks in a Colombo hospital. Thank heaven I got travel insurance! Very upset to miss half my cruise!

Could not stand listening to the narrator; a. Drop the repetitive overloud background music; the narrator needs to enunciate and emphasize consonants; narrator needs lower-pitched voice...most older persons have degraded ability to understand the higher-pitched words and phrases. The sing-songy phrases are identical in expression and therefore lose our attention. Video was good.
