I loved to hear that at the end, after lots of planning, you say that you animate by feeling. I do as well. At class, when teaching new animators it's hard to translate this sense of timing that you get with time and experience, it's not maths, there is no formula you can apply...apart from repeat and repeat till you like it.

I remember you saying this to me Justin about animating by feeling and how it looks right.. and I didn't quite now what you meant at the time, but now I been doing more animation I get it now.. one starts to develop a sense of timing and spacing...

Can wait to see the next content. As I see a lot of videos about stop motion, they always are on timelapse and it’s look so easy and fast to create. And when you try it’s quite frustrating. Can you post some sequences in real time when you are animating? Like for 2-3 frames on a character animation. It’ll defenatly motivate beguinner as me to push harder. Thx again

How thick is that wire your using on the self-made 5xlbs rig? I just tried making my own and I'm not sure if the wire I'm using is slightly less thicker than yours.. and the winder or slider thing, where did you get that from.. is that one you made yourself or bought.. and you using really old DF control unit there, which looks awesome.. I prefer the older approach.. my new DF bluetooth keypad always winds me up lol, never connects properly.. I'm using the lead one now.. this video was awesome.. love that viking puppet, I want to learn to make my own.. I realise I'm not really getting very far trying to cut corners here.. need a decent puppet.. there are no short cuts right.. just got to crack on and learn this stuff to move on.. I loved watching you do all those moves.. it's very clever.. can see your insight at mechanics and weight and performance at work here.. it's inspiring, I want to get to that level.. where the real work begins.. I'm going to see if I can dig out your old videos on making puppets.. I think there's behind the scenes HOW TO stuff on your - Gerald's Last Day - dvd isn't there.. which I got.. awesome stuff as usual man.. I notice you still work by drilling the holes into the set rather than metal perforated set.. I'm wondering whether I should just stick with wood..
