@MissSchnickfitzel4 жыл бұрын
@@NinaNiterose86 giving birth was better back then.... Midwives actually knew what they were doing, its actually ao much more stressfull for a woman to give birth in a hospital surrounded by strangers. In viking/pagan times women were brought into a warm room with blankets and there was ONE midwive and maybe her husband with her. They would give her space and quiet to help her relief stress. Too much adrenaline during labor could kill the mother or baby. Which is why home births are often safer and better for both baby and mother. Only in medieval times did the death rate go extremely up because christians had odd practices

I played this while rock climbing. I've currently for a reason I don't know taken an interest in the Norse pagan religion so I decided to play some of its music while I climb. This was my first time climbing and the only reason I went was because my friend did it and he invited me. I've had a terrible fear of heights all my life and when the time claim to go on the big walls I turned this in. After I got used to it it's like the fear left me. I no longer had it. And I was surprised when I reached the top.

Hail Odin and Slava to Slavic Gods!
@hadeseye22977 жыл бұрын
+Apollo Mann I wouldn't said so. For example Marzanna is Goddess of Winter. Kids burn her effigies and cast the into waters, sea, rivers. This way she will die to let spring to come. So as you can see Slavic gods are strongly connected to nature. Yarilo/Jarylo (there is a track about him made by Russian band Arkona, search for Arkona Yarilo) is another Slavic god. But more Russian, Belarus. He dies each year and come as a young man at the beginning of summer. But there are similarities in many ways. Zeus, Thor or Perun. All of them 'use' thunders. Weles, Hel or Hades. All three are gods of land of the dead, underworld. World in Slavic mythology is also a tree that is split to three 'world'. Prawia - land of gods, prawo in Polish means law so Prawia means land of the laws or where laws are made. Jawia - the world that people live in and Nawia - the Underwold, Weles's kingdom. If you ever played Warhammer Fantasy Role Play Tales depicts Weles pretty well. He can come to Nawia in animal shape. There are many other gods, Światowid, Swaróg, Swarożyc, Mokosz, Lel, Polel, Trygław, Dadźbóg and some others. Their names of course differ with ethnic groups.

These sounds have invoked my Celtic spirit from Spanish Galicia. A brother greets you in the name of Odin! Skol!

this music is pretty good,although almost totally electronicly made,wardruna has few of these effects in their music and are mostly instrumental,not really a fair comparisson,although wardruna owns danheim ofc :-)

Danheim is owned by Ballista record and consist of one man doing his own nordic inspired music from his home and started almost a year ago, wardruna is an older band making old norse songs/vocals for shows and got more fame when making music for the show Vikings, they don't own other ppl making music.
