1.) It's an awesome song. I'd put Viking, Demolisher and Bonebreaker above it, but it's up there. 2.) Alex actually wrestled that bear. It's a trained 'performance' bear, and he did his gutturals while wrestling it in a BTS video. Scared the shit out of the bear. 3.) The concept for the video was from the fans. They had the song and didn't know what video to do with it, and some fans said 'it's Russian folklore. Make it as Russian as you can'. So, the vodka, tanks, AKs, chains, Adidas track suits, Russian Roulette, wrestling a bear, etc. They just crammed Russian stereotypes anywhere they could as a joke. Goes to show they don't take themselves too seriously. 4.) That voice does not hurt. I can do it (not as projected as Alex, mind you), and it doesn't hurt, but it does require you to essentially 'stretch' a little via warm-ups to reliably get. The key is to avoid dropping your larynx to avoid tearing something. I've made that error before. 5.) He has a link to the store where you can buy the masks. They're designed to articulate in the jaw which makes it easier for his vocals. The mask doesn't get in the way. He gets a cut of every mask sold, and he pays the artist who designed them very well for it. Takes a couple weeks to get it, though, because they're hand-made.

Omg! I hope this is the song I'm thinking of from the movie, Bartok the Magnificent. The villain (baba yaga) sings it as she torments the town. Great animated movie of my childhood. Edit: definitely not the song I was thinking.

They did indeed. A lot of trading was done as well. There is indeed a big link. You just can’t know everything about everything and when one doesn’t look at something for years… one forgets as well ;)

Baba Yaga is something like the witch of the woods.. and i would say she is the fear of the wild... cant say for sure i am kinda bad when it comes to slavic folklore.

@@JasonB2025 yep, you are correct. I just cant say for sure what she represented cause like the norse mythology the creatures and gods of slavic folklore were actually base forces of nature and all of the nature's aspects.

Спасибо за видео. Просто хочу пояснить за песню и за клип в целом(да простят меня авторы за возможную самовольность трактовки их труда). Суть песни и клипа в том, чтобы показать стереотипное мнение о Русских. Парни просто взяли во внимание все стереотипы о русских и внесли это в песню и клип, чтоб показать насколько стереотипы о каком-либо народе искажены(в данном случае русских), и в большинстве случаев не верны, либо гиперболизированы. На самом деле в этом клипе очень много сатиры, так что не стоит доверять всему, что тебе говорят и показывают по телевизору. На самом деле русские очень открытые, гостеприимные и радушные люди. Люди, которые ценят свои традиции и историю.
