Wish you'd react more to the battle of this episode, but you all talked over it and it didn't feel like you were paying attention to how crazy powerful it was, both visually and the sound design. It's the first time they shot a battle like this. Short as it was, it's still my favorite.. And Ubbe is a straight up beast. Otherwise, great reaction as always.

On Aethelwulf, yeah, I also started liking him with the episode where he went and rescued Kwenthrith. He's also been a complete pos like when he just did like daddy said and went Kwenthrith's kid into the woods with a bag of food and said, "Gluck with that!" on Eccbert's orders. I can't even call Eccbert his dad: Aethelwulf so badly wants to be the good and loved son, and his dad's just Like, "You make an alright Vader to my Palpatine, but I'll find somebody else later."

Helgas death is a death almost as palpable and sad as Ragnar's. She was such an amazing person and Loki wouldn't have got to where he was without her. I feel like she wasn never loved as much as she should have been. Helga was a good woman. Get you a woman like Helga. RIP Queen! I was also sad to see Ecbert go, I know he had to go and I'm glad he managed to sceheme his way one last time and got himself a clean(ish) death. RIP two amazing characters!

StormWolf don't you mean #teamHypocrites the last thing Ragnar wanted was revenge on the Saxons, they claim to be fighting for what thier father wanted, yet in season 6 they make an alliance with the Saxons to fight against Hvitserk and Ivar after Lagertha set the revenge obligations in train by killing Aslaug, then they claim they are in the right, also Ubbe got dragged out of character this season he went from the brother who cares about Ivar most to the one who hates him most, and he went from trying to kill Lagertha to fighting with her

FOR CLARIFICATION: Björn is in his mid 30's, when Ragnar got Asslog pregnant Björn was 12 years old, so he's at least 12 years older than Ubbe,the latter is about 22, so Björn should be aproximately 34.

Here we go... YOU HAVE MADE THE IMPOSSIBLE. To be honest, when you first started with season 1 of our show, I didn't think you'll get to this point, But here it is... You will love season 5a! Some of my favorite episodes if the entire show are from there, but I do have lots of things to say about Hirst and Daniel Grou... We'll get there. Helga, Ecbert... Two great characters. Ecbert is really one a league of his own. But we saw where Helga was heading to. I think that she died, so that Flki could further develop. What will be with him now, that his child ,his wife and his friend (Ragnar) were taken from him? His Ecebrt had it coming. Our father took his vengeance at him. But Ecbert, a bastard to the end, tricked our sons even in death lol I will say that Ivar only wished to follow Ragnar's will to the word: Ragnar told him to take revenge on Ebcert. Aelle was bloodeagled. So of course Ecbert should get one a s well. Plus he had a very good point: It's the Saxon's land. They control the country side, the can almost raise more armies and they still got TONS of forces left (There are more kingdoms in England). So Bjorn wanted to settle the land already. Ivar tried to tell him, "You can't do that yet, because they haven't won". The best thing to do now is to use the momentum and crush each and everyone who would be even able to threat them. And crush them completely. The longer you wait, the stronger Aethelwulf will get. Regarding Sigurd... At first I was a bit annoyed, because Sigurd is very important in history. But I understand why he died: His death will effect the dynamics between the brothers. Well, Ivar once again let his uncontrollable rage dictate his actions. He didn't mean to kill him, he tried to hold himself. But Sigurd pushed him to the point of no return.. .In 4x12, it went way too far. In 4x17, Sigurd almost died. Now? Sigurd shamed Ivar as a leader and as a man in front of everyone, suggesting that he is not really a man, that he is insane (Well, thanks to his insanity, you won against Wessex and Mercia). When he foolishly mentioned their mother, that was it. We could see, however, that Ivar was stunned with himself, shocked that he really did that. The fact that he lost control so badly, that is what shocked him. He must learn to tame his rage for his needs. As Ragnar told him, use your anger intelligently. So he did, but sometime's it's easier said than done.

Spoilers for the next season: How I would've ended this season and general ideas for season 5 First of all I'd ended the episode with Ecberts death. It was a great point to have the credits come up. I'd totally erase the ending scene with Ivar killing his brother. Of all the brothers I think Sigurd and Hvitserk have the least interesting actors and characters. So I'd go towards the death of both. I'd have one of them die during the big battle in this episode and the other I'd save for the next season to die by the hands of Ivar. Maybe the one that died during the battle was also by the hands of Ivar but he did it without anyone knowing. After he kills the other one in season 5 he does it publicly while revealing he killed the other one. Floki goes off on his journey in episode 1 and isn't seen back until after the midseason break. The season starts with everyone in different places. Ivar is roaming the english kingdoms with his army, bjorn is already in sahara desert etc.

Fever Ray I'd say overall GoT is a little bit better but somehow I still prefer Vikings. It's probably because of the main character (Ragnar) who is better than any character in GoT. In fact for me Ragnar is the best character I have ever seen in any show or movie. If you are particulary interested in shows placed in medieval era then this is definitely Top 2 with GoT. And considering your profile name you will definitely like the fact that the main title theme song is "If I had a heart" from Fever Ray. ;)
