When I worked on this video I rewatched all the scenes with Sigurd and Ivar and I understand why Michael Hurst decided to show their relationship exactly like this. Their enmity and misunderstanding each other began in childhood. We can say that Michael was preparing us to the murder of Sigurd. Their relationship must were to come specifically to this moment. Very interesting how now will develop relationship between the brothers.

That was one of the reasons why Vikings lost some of it luster. Wasted characters. Halfdan, Guthrum, for fucking killing Sigurd, they had to give a wife to the Bjorn who died in 4 episodes and I BET THAT NO ONE REMEMBER HER FUCKING NAME. And i can forgive and forget some of these, but not a son of Ragnar, it was so early to kill Sigurd, you found videos of Bjorn, Ubbe, Ivar, even Hvitserk got material for really good videos, and Sigurd got nothing, not a single relevant action, and that's REALLY sad

Just explaining the Bjorn's wife thing. The Seer told Ragnar that one of his sons would marry a King's daughter. It was suposed to be Sigurd, marrying Aela's daughter, probably was what Michael Hirst was thinking in that episode. But, with all the casting (a lot of respect to Sigurd's actor but a think it wasn't a good choice) they have changed plans. Whatever, turning him into a jackass was wrong, killing him was wrong, sad

@Ruben Feneser Sigurd could have had a great story. Even I can think of what could have been of Sigurd. A story of hate and ‹‹love›› between brothers. Because that's what they were. Brothers. And brothers fight sometimes. Like Ragnar and Rollo. Ivar was wrathful because he was a cripple and so in the eyes of everyone else he was special, different, a monster. Everyone but his mother, Auslag. Queen Auslag loved more Ivar than the others sons that's known. And Sigurd in the other hand was "normal" and that's what made that his mother didn't care so much of him like she did with Ivar. And that's why he's also angry and full of resentment towards Ivar. Ivar and Sigurd are my favorites from the sons of Ragnar. There could have been a cool story around them but no. They decided to throw away Sigurd. Maybe the main problem was writing, the actor, or simply it wasn't supposed to happen. But Sigurd could have been a great character in my opinion.

Sigurd was killed off for no true reason they never fulfilled his legacy for those that wish to know In real life he married king Aellas daughter not judith but Blayja or something like that I forget That's why in season 2 the seer tells Ragnar lodbrok that one of his sons will marry a princess that son was sigurd Sigurd Lives on for a long time becoming a very powerful warlord in real life and having 2 powerful children that succeed him after his death sigurd is one of the few sons that fought side by side with Ragnar lodbrok and was said to be a very Fair and powerful war leader he explored little on his own mostly he followed Ragnar and Halfdan "another son of ragnars that is not in the show but is very important to his legacy" Sigurd is one of Ragnars few sons that doesnt live out his life he unfortunately dies in battle in England he is one of 300 warriors of the great army that perished He was said to be a very good swordsman trained by his brother Bjorn and Ivar both the greatest viking warriors of existence Sigurds son succeeding him ANDDDDD one that alot of you I guarantee didnt know was sigurds son Was the father of Harald fine hair yes the guy who was brothers with halfdan which btw was also Ragnars son, harald was sigurds grandson So that is a short bit of sigurds legacy People tend to forget these people are based off real people and real events yes alot is exaggerated but some is real I'd say about 30% of the show is real on certain events 70% is exaggerated or fake or didnt happen thank you for your time if you read this

Ragnar Ulfhednar Halfdan is Hvitserk. Halfdan is a common name among Northmen, Hvitserk was a more direct nickname. Also, the show is 100% accurate. Hvitserk and Ivarr rule the Great Army. Not Ivarr, Ubbe, and Bjorn.

He was the siege maker and battle planner he wasnt of the 6 figure leaders who lead Bjorn was on his way he didnt fight during the battle against king aella but he was there for the rest of the fights that would take place for the next 10 to 20 years before he gets defeated and heads home

Seriously, Sigurd Snake In The Eye was a huge historical figure. If they killed him early (why not kill Hvitserk, he doesn't bring anything to the table. I don't know why, but I don't like him), it's a shame for this show. No real charisma left after Ragnar's and Eckbert's death. Great, great tribute by the way.

Unpopular opinion but Sigurd had started to grow on me by the end of the season. I liked the calmer, more artistic, poetic vibe he brought to the show. So I'm gutted to see him die... Especially when Hvitserk was clearly, at worst the most useless of the brothers, at best an Ubbe 2.0, so if one of them had to go, I would rather had it to be Hvitserk...

Historically seen Hvitserk would stay behind with Ivar and lead the remainder (most) of the army in their war against all of england and later on even Ireland. And there Hvitserk died in battle some years after the landing of the G.H.A. His story will get awesome. Sigurd wasn't supposed to die though, so it is quite obvious they don't follow the real historical storyline. Because Sigurd would have been King of Denmark in that case.

I watched it in disbelief and I think the writing for Bjorn was getting bad again this season leading up to episode 10.... it's like hus daughter Siggy's death all over again... but we'll see how they end the show... personally hope we get to see Rollo again and get closer on Floki.

Killing sigurd was a mistake they could've done a LOT with him imo. i liked his character and i think it would've been cool if sigurd bjorn and Hvitserk raided ivar. Sigurd wasn't afraid of ivar he talked shit to his face and told it how it is Dont know why people hating on the actor i thought he was ok
