I don't know if any viking could classify as himbo. Himbos are, more or less, defined by a combination of muscular physique, low to average intelligence, and a heart of gold. That's why Kronk is literally THE himbo. He is the epitome of all 3 traits. I think that Vikings, by definition, fail to meet that 3rd pre-req for being a himbo. what is rarely shown in popular culture about "vikings" is that they were ordinary people with homes, jobs and families. the terms Viking is misleading as it is often interpreted as the norsemen who went trading, raiding and working often as mercenaries. the term is to go viking wich means to do all of the previous and most of wich was trading. a norseman is not a viking, to go trade, raid and work is to go viking. the examples in this video are all vikings but would probably be better fit to be called "einherjar" wich the meaning of the word were not sure of but is generaly translated as "those who fight alone" wich is interpreted as the outstanding ones. the einherjar are the fighters who died and came to valhalla for their skill and bravery.

The manga is way more violent and explanatory. I like the anime fine enough, though i havent finished season 1 (was waiting ror season 2 to start before I finished so i could binge), and i havent touched it since before season 2 started (life); but a part of me kind of dislikes the amount of info the anime either gets rid of or changes, either when certain events happen or when they happen. I know its being done the way it is for a reason, but its kind of jarring to me. Also, never thought that id like an anime done by the studio that made Attack on Titan. Hate that anime/manga. I hope that in the future that some studio brings Historie (should the manga ever be finished). That manga has some brutal shit in it too.

Askeladd was like the opposite of a himbo. Taking away the viking-ness of them the formula for a himbo boils down to big, burly, and kinda stupid(average intelligence at best) usually also being friendly/kind Guy was a lean, keen, mean, straight up fien-d. He fought with agility and wit, pretty anti-himbo. Spoilers for anyone who hasnt seen the show Plus he stated he hates vikings, Danes, and the norse all together. He just does what he did for power, personal gain even if it was the expense of pretty much anyone else (except his home country)
