Now that Largetha is Queen, she has to start playing all the sneaky devious games all the other kings had to, because there is always someone plotting against her. I think she is badass and wise in her corruption. But she still gets hurt when the people she loves betray her. Something i really apreciate about this show is that there are no good guys or bad guys. Everyone has selfish motives mixed with loyalty. I think Largetha is still great, even though we have had to redefine who she is. Her character has been through a lot, and has come out on top. There's no decision she has made that was without good reason, however cruel.

Not even going to lie, Ubbe and Lagertha ( more like their actors, Jordan Patrick Smith and Katheryn Winnick) had such a chemistry that it would have been easy to see them rule the show if it didn't follow history vaguely. I think Ubbe, more his actor, looked so much like Ragnar/Travis it was easy to imagine Ragnar wheeling and dealing with Lagertha. I think having Ubbe filled some of the massive hole left by Ragnar dying.

Unpopular opinion: Lagertha and Ubbe look amazing together as twisted as most may believe it is, they have chemistry and should have an affair, but the directors won't ever let that happen and will kill her off soon. I believe she deserved a happy ending, after all she went through, and couldn't even reconcile with Ragnar at least let her have something sweet before her death besides that random bishop kiss.

I totally agree. From their first scene together with Ubbe being adult I was like dayum, they gon' smash. Vikings is the show that doesn't shy away from creepiness so I actually thought it would happen. And it would make sense. She obviously would be attracted to him because he looks exactly like the dead love of her life and a part of him on top of that, and I bet he would be attracted to her, cause... who isn't. Lol. It's actually a shame that this might not be happening as I feel Lagertha's days might be numbered too.

Hannah Dyson I never said that Bjorn is a saint... He is a terrible father (Throwing Siggy like she was nothing), and an awful husband and is mostly concerned with his adventures :) And in season 5 so far, I agree with you, Torvi is acting normal. But her actions from 4b still stand, that is why I can't be on her side. Everything she does now, is effected from her 4b course of trickery.

Hannah Dyson The main difference is that other character were and still are, much more interesting and important than her... In season 5 she begins to show a bit more character, But still, in my opinion, it's far behind the others. Not the actress's fault, it's just the way Hirst created her. So my personal opinion, is that I don't like her at all right now. So If I critic other characters, I still enjoy them as a whole a lot more than Torvi. And then again, it's just my opinion, I can't tell others to like her or not :) But I personally hold a greater grudge against her because the thing she betrayed was Ragnar's legacy (His sons) and by doing so (Murdering their mother and overthrowing them), she also created the trigger for the upcoming civil war. It was more of Lagertha's fault of course, but Torvi is the one who owed Aslaug and Ragnar the most: They could kill her, but instead, embraced her. To me, her betrayal of trust was as great as Rollo's and perhaps as severe in consequences (The war that will come because of it will take many lives. And I can't blame Ivar and his brother too seek revenge, it's their duty as sons). I do have criticism on other characters, however: I still can't forgive Rollo for what he did to Ragnar :) And yes, I enjoy watching but I won't mind him to get what he deserves (Probably won't happen though). And if we're talking of Torvi's actions, then I have a HUGE criticism on Lagertha, for her careless acts that will cause much chaos. But still, the fact that Torvi owed her life to Aslaug and Rangar, makes her case worse in my eyes. If I compare Torvi to another greater backstabber, Ecbert, he "got away" (In terms of fans opinion), from all his great betrayals, because he was one of the most fascinating and complex characters on the show.

I think I figured out Ubbe's tactic here. Yeah, he's sided with Lagertha for now. Because they got enemies and common interests, but he's not about to forget Lagertha killed his mother. He was the first Ragnarsson after all, to run at her and nearly get to her to kill her. He's the one who resembles Ragnar the most. And weirdly enough, it seems there might be some...attraction toward him from her? Anyway, long story short, Ubbe is gonna pull a Lagertha. Lagertha slept with Kalf, a man who usurped her position. Ubbe will sleep with Lagertha, and when her guard is down, he will kill her for murdering Aslaug. Getting killed by the son who looks like your lost love, to avenge the woman you killed who you claim stole your lost love. How very Shakespearian.
