Moesgaard Viking Meet is Denmark's - maybe even the Worlds - oldest Viking market. It started as small courses in Viking handwork in the 1970'ies. Year by year the smiths and hand workers attracted attention and more and more people made a picnic out it and came from Aarhus to watch them. The first real public market took place in 1977. So the market will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2017 - in the year of Aarhus being European Capital of Culture.

As far as i'm informed we had over 650 fighters on the field in Wolin this year making it the largest viking reenactement battle of all times.

​@@MyPlayHousewolin is not the same. We do Eastern style fighting there and we fight to win and fight hard! Ppl die in those battles, las year someone got ear lifted out with helicopter this year someone got taken out on hospital boat... so its more like a real battle. Ofc no sharp wepons but they still hurt. Il give u a link from 2023. But they have some cool drone videos from 2022 u shuld look up
