When he said, 'The sudden change was very sudden', I felt that. Having all the sports in the same venue sounds like a cost-efficient genius idea. But when you see the final product and complaints coming in, it's too late and a waste of money. RFK Stadium, Montreal Olympic Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, all of these were poorly designed in the name of squishing sports without thinking about the fan experience. The roof collapsing was the tip of the iceberg.

Glad they saw this as a sign that the Metrodome was at the end of its life and had to be replaced. Sure that roof might have been a good idea at first, but with all the snow Minnesota gets, it was gonna happen eventually. It needed a more modern approach, and US Bank Stadium was the answer.
