It is a different culture of CRM to our western ways but effective enough for them. Before I criticise I better show some respect and understanding. I do not speak Russian but could follow through in terms if piloting anticipation. A bit low on the glideslope at the end and thrust reversers came on a bit late but they got the job done and no harm so it is good enough in my books! I think the heavy nose drop is an aircraft specific feature. Touch down was smooth. Thank you for letting us in behind the iron curtain. These Russian Pilots are not to be underestimated. Their training is much more deeper and difficult then western counterparts plus there is the language barrier. Good video. Please include English subtitles on the next video. Cheers!

The control column is Fly By Wire,....like the A320. Digital Aircraft.

Я вот думаю: Говорят Ту-204 устарел, но если так посмотреть, авионика современная, развитый автопилот, комфортный салон. Летал как то из турции на Ту-204, понравилось. Единственный минус на мой взгляд, это небольшой ресурс ПС-90А по сравнеyию с CFM-56. Но над этим надо работать или ремоторизировать на более современные двигатели. Крыло имеет суперкритический профиль. Массу самолета можно снижать, заменяя на композитные изделия. Не массово, но Ту-204 все время эксплуатируется. Есть модернизированная версия Ту-204СМ.

This crew must have landed in Siberia. What was it: 10miles from runway to gate? Exited the runway@30, and still taxiing @35. OMG! Certainly a different way of doing things. As a westerner , viewing that Russian flight deck was cool. Any T154M crew vids in the future? Love the looks of that bird and way the mains do that 180deg swing backwards into the wing pods. Nice vid.

Understanding Russian CRM is very simple: If we're talking about stuff that doesn't pertain to the flight, we use normal inside voices. If we're talking about stuff pertaining to the operation of the aircraft, we yell.

Just had to do with regulations at the time (USSR pilot requirements) and then primary customer (Russian Govt) requiring 3 man cockpit. 3 are not required in reality.

Im sure tupolev can make it 2 crew but due to soviet law before it was designed for 3 at that size....even early produced 767's have FE due to requirement...while the 757 dont have....but its already converted to 2 crew since it is already proven

This is the early TU204 with a 3 man cockpit crew. Shortly after they switched to the standard 2 man crew. Thanks for watching.

@@VikingWings No one switched to a 2nd man cockpit crew and there is no such concept of an early tu204, they are what they were and remained. 2 man cockpit crew has tu204cm, but he did not go into the series.

Советская школа всегда была выше иностранной. Сам заканчивал ДВВИМУ , дослужился до чифа диплоим ШДП. Моряки наши на порядок выше подготовка в судовождении. Военморы и рыбаки , отдельная тема , это беспредельщики. Китайцы полный трэш.

Я тут почитал реальные озывы Пилотов летающих на Ту 204 ,разных модификаций ,они еще есть хоть их и мало ,так вот никто из них Не хочет пересаживаться ни на Боинг ни на Аэрбасс они считают его лучше ,,и в управлении и по комфорту ,и пасажиры отзываются в том плане что ,,тушка ,ни в чем не уступает Зарубежным бортам ,никакой разницы Вообще ,,, так что 40 млрд выделенных на возрождение этого самолета Это мудрый шаг ,пока доведут до ума МС 21 И СУПЕРДЖЕТ СУХОЙ пока на них заменят все импортные комплектующие на отечемтвенные пройдет десяток лет а может и больше при нынешней Гос системе ,а ,,Тушка ,,изначально полностью собрана из отечественных материалов ,на 100% и вот увидите она станет не временной заменой с небольщим количеством выпущенных бортов ,а На долгие годы основным нашим самолетом ,только бы все не похерили и не разворовали ,и платить людям надо кто делает этот самолет ,я имею ввиду работягам и не 50,,60,,тыс а по 150 тогда и желающих выучиться этой специальности прибавится ,а то ведь нехватка квалифицированных кадров может на корню загубить все благие начинания ,как говорил ТОВАРИЩ СТАЛИН ? Кадры решают все .
